      I can't believe you picked against Brooks at 184! You've almost made me quit watching your show. However, your show is really good and except for your little faux pas with Brooks, you are usually really intelligent when it comes to wrestling. Don't be surprised when Aaron "The mat monster" Brooks wins his 3rd consecutive national title...(on his way to his 4th next year)

    Gomez surprised me just being able to walk to the stripe, he looked rough at big tens. That guy is so much fun to watch.

    Even if it was 2, that would not have ended the match. It would have gone 7-7 OT.

      @@Ketogenicinfo Not really. There’s just 8 mats that are constantly rotating guys in and out. It’s hard to keep track of everything.

      @@jomama969 I’m not buying that. Woods is the #1 seed and at the end there was a very long delay for a review. Everyone was tuning in at the end to see if it was going into OT. Plus Franco even said Woods was up by 1 and he had riding time. I still love Franco, his coverage is fun.

    These delays for coach challenges are getting ridiculous!!!!
    I watched that Van Ness comeback match and 100% the thing that turned the tide of that match was there was a challenge after the end of the second period that took literally almost 6 minutes
    After 2 periods Van Ness was down by like 7 and had absolutely 0 momentum going into the third.
    These huge delays are completely taking momentum and conditioning out of the equation and it’s disappointing because I feel like those used to be so important

      And then he ran right through Paniro Johnson and he just won his close Quarterfinals matchup. Everyone from 133 up to 184, and possibly heavyweight, will get to the semifinals via bonus points. So he's adapting as he goes along here.

    Woods went ultra conservative after first period and almost paid for it. Hate it when someone does that, especially when they are/should be the dominant wrestler.

      That is one thing that I have noticed with him in the 1 year at Iowa. He will put up huge leads during the 1st, and then just stops attacking.

      I agree, Woods has to learn to wrestle hard for the entire 6 minutes or he will lose. I have concerns about Woods conditioning.

    There was so much happening all at once at the BOK last night. What an all-star show, too much to take in. So far in the quarters have been most impressed with Bartlett and Haines from PSU. I'm glad Yianni squeaked through the quarters today, he deserves his shot at a fourth title.

    Facundo was extremely disappointing down the stretch of the season to go 2 and out was so unexpected I wonder if it’s a tough weight cut for him at 165 and it took a toll on him
    I hope he comes back hungrier than ever next season and blows the roof off whatever weight class he’s at

    With how Allred took it to Dean in the Big Tens, it would have been more of a surprise is Dean flipped the script in this match. Would have been great to see Beard take it all the way but Braunagel has been tough all year. Great to see a lot of reps from lesser powerhouse programs remaining in the bracket.

      @@Cletus378 And the fact that Dean has been very hurt these last two months, and I mean really hurt, so hopefully he can still see him getting some points for Penn State in these consolation rounds because Penn State will need it. Also, Andonian just got pinned at the last second by Levi Haines! Insane!

    Van Ness has been exciting and a surprise, for sure. Tone around him changed quickly two thirds of the way through his first round match. Dean losing is less of a surprise, Allred deserves credit, and is a threat to Nino as well.
    Thanks for the coverage, there are way too many matches and storylines worth covering, and we're just getting started!

      The tone changed because van ness got a 6 minute break for a coaches challenge. Went from someone who looked broken and could barely get out from bottom for 2 periods to someone who looked refreshed and came out like a bat out of hell in the third
      End of the day it was the maryland kids fault because they’re the ones who challenged, causing the delay but I still absolutely hate these extended breaks that are going on

    As a Tennessean. I was really happy with Brayden Palmer's match against Roman Bravo Young. He ended up loosing 2-5 but still hung in with number 1 in the country.

      @@arizonaron5149 watch his matches against ranked opponents then watch his matches against unranked opponents. Its night and day. Against ranked opponents, he will get a point and then try to run out the clock for the rest of the match. Against unranked opponents, he is very aggressive. RBY is a waste of talent.

      @@genghiskhan7041 Appreciate the offer. we ate at Kilkenny’s the first night based on a tip from a friend who’s lived in Oklahoma his whole life. That was a great atmosphere and food! Also ate a small bar and grill near the BOK. What would you recommend late tonight for dinner after 9:00??

    I refuse to be surprised by any win by Nelson Brands. Looking forward to Daton Fix vs ??? In finals. 149 is most dysfunctional bizarre weight class in years. Plenty of guys could win it.

    Woods would NOT have lost if that was a takedown! He was up 1 & had riding time which means he was up by 2. A takedown would have only tied it up and sent it to OT.

    Well what do you think about Haines scare but true freshman so calm makes it look easy at times. I'm a Penn State alumni and die hard fan but Andonian I truly thought would beat Haines and I apologize to all Penn State fans. Truly Special kid. It looks like Andonian was tired and he left his offense slack after the 6 point move.

    my predictions on quarterfinal winners - Glory, Arujau, Haines, Carr, Hamiti, Hidlay, and Cassioppi. But given how crazy this tournament has been thus far, it is anyone's guess

    Panero Johnson was gassed and Van Ness took advantage, good for him. Van Ness has #20 Rooks so a low seed is making it to the semi's either way.

    Real Woods match would have went to OT... Won't be surprised if Allred wins it all. He dominated Dean and didn't allow Dean to use his strengths in either match they wrestled.

    The surprising thing for me was not that Smith lost to a vastly under-seeded Cardinale, but that he then lost to DeAugustino and, as the #5 seed, went 0-2. First top 5 seed out in any weight class.

    I don’t think facundo going 2n out is a big shock Patrick Kennedy might not place he has to beat Ramirez and the loser of the carr-griffith quarterfinal just to medal it’s a tough bracket forsure

      I agree that’s such a tough weight class. In a normal year Kennedy might get 2nd or 3rd but this year it will be a miracle for him to even place. Next year Kennedy will be in the finals though.

    Even if the takedown on Woods was granted, it would have just sent the match into sudden victory. Who knows what might have happened there. We will never know.

    I said a month ago or more Dean and Warner would be fighting for table scraps. I said it before and I'll say it again, Dean was never good enough to be NCAA champ. It just happened. Look at the collegiate records. It's rare to find a former champ who falls down to nine seed. Even past champs who didn't repeat always came back in the final four mix. Dean was an anomaly. And my spidey senses say that maybe RBY doesn't completely have this in the bag. PSU might end up with five champs again, but it may not be the five you think.

    Max Dean frustrates me every time I watch him however I believe Cael was a huge reason he lost last night. That was 100% a takedown and he should’ve thrown the brick once Dean noticed they didn’t you could see the air go out of him and he quit coaches throw bricks all the time for way less and I was shocked they didn’t if they award that takedown that changes the 3rd completely cuz we knew allred wasn’t gonna go on bottom and Dean has 0 standup game
