The bottle moth cocktail when launched is not a danger to humans, but your sweaters are screwed😂
Lol!
😂
Yeah, and when you throw them they always hit your lights! 😝
One of my fav episodes from the series. "Jeremy please don't smile like that you're not James Bond you're disgusting ... I am James Bond"
Such a great line delivery!
One of my favourites too! Sophie's family.are even more dysfunctional than Mark's! 😅
Molotov is a reference to Soviet foreign minister Vyacheslav Molotov.
The Happy Birthday song is by a Scottish band called Altered Images, and the singer (Clare Grogan) was on a Father Ted episode that you guys reacted to. She played the feminist singer who Father Dougal sold the house to.
Didn't know that. She does a good Irish accent
At the time "Happy Birthday to you" demanded royalties, wonder if this song was cheaper.
Her music is as good as her acting
I think she was the original kochanski in red dwarf too
Clare Grogan was also in Red Dwarf series one
The start of the best series of any sitcom. Six brilliant eps.
He accidentally proposed coz she FOUND the ring after he decided he didn't want to marry her so she just said Yes when he didn't even ask her...
This season is beyond legendary. Some of the greatest episodes ever!
Oh yeahhhh baby we are getting to the big leagues now! I personally love all of peep show, but season 4 is definitely up there (I will happily watch any episode from any season, anyone who doesn’t like the first 3 seasons is a total muppet for sure)
S4 is the best. Some viewers stop watching in s1 before the big improvement at the start of s2.
"iam james bond" is one of my favourite scenes from peep show. the wedding episode is brilliant too
There are millions of couples who are as unhappy as Sophie's parents.
I sound like one 😆😆
U
Season 4 and 5 are peak Peep Show.
Do I suck the finger?! Yeahhhhh!
Bottle moth cocktails all round!
This is one of my favorites 😁... actually all this series is
Wait until you get to the narrow boat episode 😂😂😂😂
Almost two decades after it began, most people in the UK & the vast majority of people outside it have never seen an episode of PS.
Speak for your self... 😂. Mighty Boosh is a good one imo.
@@caiotefu9856 do ye like baileys?
@@caiotefu9856 I've seen every ep of PS several times.
@@jamesdonoughue4557 I'm old Greg... 😊
I can assure you, the vast majority of the UK have seen PS like it or not, as for the rest of the world not so much
I loved the way you guys were kinda looking at each other when the jam scene started. You both knew exactly where it was going!
Like the finger...
I am James bond. Classic
I'd like to thank you for allowing me to watch this with you. I missed it at the time. Thoroughly entertaining watching you laugh as I did.
Molotov cocktails were so named as a response to 'Molotovs Bread Baskets'.
Molotov was the Soviet minister of war during world war 2 (the peace treaty between Nazi Germany and the USSR at the start of the war being called the Molotov-Ribentrau pact).
The story goes that during the 'Winter War' in Finland, the Soviets were dropping incendiary bombs on Finnish civilian targets but claiming they were infact dropping aid packages. Consequently, these bombs earned the darkly, cynically funny name 'Molotovs bread Baskets'.
In response, when partisans or the finnish armed forces attacked russian positions with petrol bombs they called the petrol bombs 'Molotov cocktails'. I.e., "here's a drink to go with your bread".
Everything else you got correct but the one thing you got wrong is that the molotov cocktails were not used to attack Soviet positions, but Soviet tanks. The Finns only had 3 effective methods against Soviet tanks. Shoving logs in to the tanks crawlers to bring it to a halt, throwing petrol bombs, aka. molotov cocktails into the engine bays of the tanks killing or forcing the occupants to exit the tank to be killed, and the "motti" tactic where they would cut a long convoy of tanks and infantry moving on the narrow roads towards Finland into smaller sections by destroying tanks along the convoy, thus making them locked in position and then letting the soviets to sit in their tanks until they either froze or starved to death, or out of desperation finally exited the tanks to be swiftly killed.
OMG I love this UA-cam channel. You two are just the dogs bollocks. That is a British slang term for something excellent, exceptional, or the very best. I await your next download with a sense of need. Great effing stuff.
"a zip here...a swastika there.." I fucking love peep show.
I have seen every show/film you guys react to except for peep show. Not sure why I let it pass me by as it's awesome! Keep up the great work.
It's a good thing Queen Boomer is adorable. Bottlmoff cocktails😂😂😂😂
Ah bless Jane. She is so gorgeous. I hope she gets well soon. Another great episode of peep show. More peep show please.
You're both one of the most loveliest couples.
Late watching this cause been busy but this is one of my fave peep show eps. It's a classic, Jeremy is everything in this one
You have the stag night and the wedding to look forward to 😂
When Marc slowly turns his head to Jeremy at 18:11 I just lose it
More Peep Show please!
Just for the record, that happy birthday/princess part is not a normal thing in the UK... 😂
It's a Chapman thing.
@@davidz3879 I think they were both watching that part like, is this normal? should we say anything? 🤣
@@Writeous0ne Mark & Jez are also baffled at it.
Molotov cocktails are also called petrol bombs in some parts of the UK.
Molotov, called that after a Russian minister. Apparently Russians would throw them and shout "This is for Mr Molotov!"
Oh this is so good even if it does make me cringe such a good episode thank you King and Queen Booner❤
'Suck Mommy's finger?' I was curled up in a ball and screaming the first time I saw that.
The best season, you in for a treat
Not sure they’ll be ready for the stag episode if the bird dying is a bit much for them
Peep Show just gets better and better, it's so good hahaha
24:24 Bottle Moth cocktail! 😂😂 Aw bless that’s the most adorable thing I’ve heard all day! Lol, the syllables were close though!
Mind you I can hardly talk, when I was 3 or 4 I thought petrol pumps were “answerbumps”. And the other one (which makes more sense because it’s a finger food) is I thought hamburgers were “handburgers” xD
25:01 😂😂 It actually does “Grand Bottle Moff Tarkin”
In the UK we call them petrol bombs
25:30 - Say something like "Molly-Tov cocktail". But you're not to blame for not remembering the name. It's named by the finns, during WW2. Named after Vyacheslav Molotov.
From wikipedia:
The name's origin came from the propaganda Molotov produced during the Winter War, mainly his declaration on Soviet state radio that incendiary bombing missions over Finland were actually "airborne humanitarian food deliveries" for their "starving" neighbours.[13][10] As a result, the Finns sarcastically dubbed the Soviet incendiary cluster bombs "Molotov bread baskets" (Finnish: Molotovin leipäkori) in reference to Molotov's propaganda broadcasts.[14][10] When the hand-held bottle firebomb was developed to attack and destroy Soviet tanks, the Finns called it the "Molotov cocktail", as "a drink to go with his food parcels"
Carol Drinkwater is the mummy brilliant actress
2 examples of asking someone to marry them, when you actually didn't, was Joey from Friends (when Rachel gives birth) and Simon from the Inbetweeners when he accidentally asked Lucy to marry him with the help from Jay's Australian Uncle... 😂😂
Mark was going to propose, but realised he didn't love her when he was lost on the moors. Sophie was looking in his bag for something then found the ring and realised what Mark was planning so "accepted" just as Mark had decided not to ask her.
Found your reactions by accident. Love the idea that you’re watching UK series & films.
By the way you’re a lucky man. 😉
Love of the chase. Had it a lot growing up which led to toxic relationships. Also he accidentally proposed when she found the ring, just in case you forgot.
Lots of people definitely marry for wealth 😅 my late grandmother had early onset Alzheimer's and died in 2015. Her carer (20 years younger) then married my grandad.
If you cant remember molotov cocktail just call them petrol bombs.
The "Why did you have Molotov Cocktails around a baseball field" "Huh???" was so reminiscent of Jim from Friday Night Dinner. "What? Down the side of our house???" "Hmmm?"
Music of The Royal Tournament ... Missed that reference I see. That gun run you watched was from The Royal Tournament
Putting people on pedestals (men or women) is always asking for trouble and disappointment later down the road
On shoots one tends to carry pheasants by the neck as you can get three or four in each hand - when one starts flapping, giving it a good wringing is a lot easier than one might think.
Wring their necks before carrying them.
@@davidz3879 why? They’ve been shot, they appear dead until you pick them up
Just woke my household up laughing at the jam scene at 2:30am 😂😂
The good news is that I’ll call them bottle moth cocktails for the rest of my life, the bad news is that I’m already quite old 😊
The fact that you (rightly) thought the past 3 seasons were good is ONLY a testament to how VERY good these latter seasons are... You're in for a ride!
I think he was getting at the fact people say thing like "Season 6 is great!", kind of inferring the first 5 are rubbish, and who is going to watch the first five series of something to get to the good stuff.
Most of these seasons are good, it just makes sense each series builds on the former which is why thy might be perceived as "better"
We just call them petrol bombs in Ireland.
Moltov in America. Petrol Bomb in the U.K. like Series and Season
Bottle moth cocktail 🤣🤣🤣
I just can't wait for S04 E05 😂
we call them petrol bombs
I know there are some scenes that'll kill you with laughter in this season 😆👍
I love bottlemoth cocktail
Mark & Sophie being colleagues pushes them together. During the first four series he doesn't try to start a relationship with anyone else. During the same time, Sophie seems to think her only options for a partner are him or Jeff.
@@rc-dk6by Sophie's looks & personality decline badly throughout PS. He sees her as more obtainable than Toni (Poland rather than Russia).
@@davidz3879 Yes, Mark never aims too high. 😅
@@Cheepchipsable How about when he aims for Suze?
Series 4 is the best of the show, so enjoy it going to be great
Pheasants are everywhere I'd accidentally hit 6-12 a day on my delivery job they'd just fly in front of my van while driving round the countryside.
I cannot walk in my garden without stepping on at least 10...
Wait till episode 5 , it has to be the funniest peep show ever with jeza and the dog
I think people were saying that season 4 is the best not that it was when it gets good (it’s all really good imo)
Yes, it's peak PS. Even in the low-point of s8 it's better than most sitcoms.
Oh, If Queen Boomer got upset about the bird dying she won't like one episode specifically. If you are in the comments section and you read this comment you know which episode i'm talking about.
Barge trip? lol
@@Paul_1971 or salad spinner 😅
Especially as she's a mummy to be.
@@Paul_1971 S4 e5, Holiday.

2:50 King Boomer casually trying to rip off his own face.
16:15 is one of the funniest scenes ever 😂😂😂
Lol im glad you got such a kick out of the "....because of thr EU, themselves" bit. That made me cry laughing yhe first time I heard it
I LOVE BEARDS...OOOOOH FEELS SO GOOD👍👍👍
For QB, if you havn't already gone back to watch S3E6 Mark planned to propose during a trip (taking along the ring), but before he did, he decided quite euphorically that he didn't 'need to propose'...
Unfortunately Sophie found the ring while he was getting lost on the Quantock Hills with Jez. So when he returned Sophie simply 'accepted' without him actually having to propose (the existence of the ring was enough). And he 'accepted' her 'acceptance' out of fear of embarrassment! 🤣
Such a series of events would and could ONLY happen to Mark! Lol. Sometimes I think Peep Show is mainly an exercise in trying to bring to life the most tortuous and torturous life events possible for a character like Mark Corrigan!
We never find out where the Chapmans live, although a mention of Sophie & her brother going to Guildford for the evening suggests they live in Surrey.
So, what’s the best piece of metal you’ve ever detected?
S4 was peek for this show. Later seasons were a bit of a dip but s4 every episode was golden.
A BottomOff Cocktail is a completely different drink
Peep show is from the same writers as Sucession.
Need to give a show called fresh meat a review its like inbetweeners but set in university same people who made inbetweeners
Well done Mrs Cone-Dog, get well soon 😘
Note for Queen:
- Mark "accidentally" proposed in the previous episode when Sophie found a ring in his backpack.
- Molotov Cocktails are named after Soviet foreign minister Vyacheslav Molotov, but in Britain they're usually called petrol bombs.
Do the Queens 3 sisters also say botolmov (bottle moth?) cocktail?
Enquiring minds want to know.
I'd rather find out if they're also hot.
Filming across different days means that the snow is there in some scenes & not others.
LIVE, LOVE AND LEARN!!❤❤❤❤😓😓😓😓
Cheers for the reactions
Petrol bomb for a molotov cocktail at ma bit (duck)
If you're unsure whether or not you love someone, you don't.
not a reaction request, do you watch Curb your enthusiasm at all?
brits diss american comedies, but Curb is fkin brilliant.
Curb is great. Why has it never been popular? Most people I mention it to haven't heard of it.
sophie is gorgeous, ive no idea why he doesnt want to marry her
She's one of PS' less attractive female characters. She & Mark aren't suited.
Penny seducing Jez, then Mark finding out, is hilarious!
Fake pockets on clothes are ridiculous.
I am so so sorry, but I got a bit ahead of myself on ' Man Down '. A TV series that you both review. I genuinely only watch my own country's TV comedy, as you two watch it...But not this time. I genuinely apologize but the future episodes are funny as fuck...so, do one!!!! With compliments....!!!!
2:42 I think David Mitchell bought a little of himself to that line! But actually I think a great many males at least 'think' this way, even if they don't openly say it! 🤣👍
I agree though, the beard does seem look better on you Boomer, but it may just be that Marks is heavier and darker, if he trimmed it closer it wouldn't be so bad I think. Also the shape is a little weird, just looks looks like a circle around his mouth!
They say that the righters of Games Of Thrones got a job righting for Star Wars and so rushed the end of Games Of Thrones to get to Star Wars ,
Is his name Brian? I thought it was King.
YOU'D BOTH LOVE OLIVIA COLEMAN IN "THE FAVOURITE" SHE GOT AN OSCAR. GREAT FILM!🔥
How would that be a good choice for a mostly comedy reaction channel?
It wasn't a real live pheasant
Do Americans not call bottle moth cocktails petrol bombs . I suppose not as they rarely say petrol.
THANK YOUUU. been waiting for this:) season 4 ep 6 is amazing btw.. Fuck freemasons:)
They have surprisingly strong necks actually
I think Mark was more on the fence about the marriage, sure the house added to the pros.
The reality is peoples life circumstances do play a part in deciding if they are worth marrying.
How many people go looking for love amongst the homeless or drug affected?
Realistically Mark and Sophie could have had a great marriage in the long term. With Marks personality he would probably be alone and miserable, or find someone else who he would eventually find fault with.
How could things have worked out well long term for them? They're not in love. They want different things out of life & have very different personalities.
Bottle moff cocktail had me wailing and crying with laughter. Thank you
Petrol bomb.
Holey sweaters
16:38 Awkward? 😬😜
Your missus has got great legs 👏
