I learned too much from you when I was started selling beats.. Now I'm in the position of selling 2-3 exclusive beats everyday..Thanks you for being for us..
My mans is a master at this. From listening to him. Hes talking about multiple skills at the same time. FB Ads manager, properly targeting who to put those ads in front of is a skill all in itself. You can blow a lot of money not targeting the right people. Then auto responding and email sequences is another skill thats take a minute to learn. Its a lot. But my guy is a master at this for sure
As a 28yo that's just now getting into beatmaking, this episode sparked more motivation. It's easy to get down bcus of age and seeing all the young ppl come up, but it's also even more of a reason to go harder. All episodes hit, this one is legendary
The youngins are all inexperienced and have no business sense yet. Your age is an advantage not a disadvantage brother. You know how many young kids gonna flame out, swerve off track, get caught up in some bullshit, get ripped off and used for all their talent, knock up some crazy groupie chick and end up broke and miserable? 99.99999% of them. Take your knowledge and experience and maturity and get that bag sirrrrrr!
Bro im 19 and getting back into selling beats after 6 months of not doing it (ive only been producing ab a yr) but frfr you got an advantage w experience compared to the 22 and under club lol
LOL I definitely didn't say I wanted to be in the studio smoking weed. Maybe watching Carrington crush up catnip in his palm though. Appreciate the shout out.
Also, MASSIVE shout out to the producer grind podcast crew for asking literally the perfect questions. The gems are dropped when y’all ask the good questions.
I started in the same place. Adat tapes, 8 track Tascam cassette based recorder, DR5 drum machine with the drums and keys built in. I did the same. Called a studio and ended up meeting a good friend who owned a unique studio Audio Playground in Winter Park Fl. Shout out to him! Had 3 studio work areas, an SSL board and a ton of vintage instruments. The guy actually had a museum in the studio for rare and vintage instruments. He was a sound designer, so if you wanted a sound from an old record, he knew the instrument it came from and you could go in the museum and get the exact piece of gear. It was crazy! Those were the days man. Eventually owned my own studios, but the beginning was the foundation. I am grateful for entering the game in that era. It helps me up until now.
I can tell you my experience with gabe and the legion beats. He tought me a lot. Before I met him i was just choosing other artist beats and recording over them and just calling them a freestyle thinking I owned the. Thanks to gabe i threw away that trash and I paid for some high top quality beats. To this day he is still teaching me simple basic stuff that made me Understand about being a better artist. I fell like i don't I have a burden on my shoulders of useings someone else's beats I'm good now all i need is a new record platform or studio
So much sauce was given! I’m about to research the shit out of click funnels and put some packages together lol. This gotta be top 3 of all the interviews
Much credit to the ones conducting the interview. They asked GREAT questions! That's what a interview is all about. Ask the questions your audience is thinking. Great job.
Man Gabe is the man and has personally mentored me with my music difference. Him and AD hands down has the model and blueprint for producers transforming into businessmen.
The level of professionalism from you guys is outstanding. Your choice of questioning, and resurfacing important topics highlights your skill for knowing what your audience needs. Literallly first video I have come across. Well done lads.
I wouldve never guessed this dude was an introvert. He provided clear and easily actionable suggestions and didn't sound corny at all lol. This video is a gem.
This interview literally changed my life. Not even kidding. I've seen so many people saying "it's a scam" yada yada, but if you look at their profiles, these are usually broke people that only play video games and maybe never are going to achieve anything unless they get out of the bubble chasing an unreal dream. [Not saying it's bad to pursue placements, though, thats a legit business for a few.] I'm just saying it's also good to make money on a daily basis from independent artists by giving them great offers. [my bad venting out a little haha]
I am not even a music producer. I am a 30 plus year music artist. I know a lot of my own unique ideas I created to find success to sale my music. That being said, I learned A TON of new knowledge from this, that I will be putting into use now! I appreciate it! 💯💯💯💯
One of the best 1 1/2 hours of time spent, even as someone who has a audio engineering & music production degree. Their is always another perspective or piece of advice you can learn from. Thank you legion beats. AD is a great legendary producer as well. Both of you helped big time
Great interview! I'm part of the Producer Funnel Secrets community and I found the missing link that I've been trying to find to make things work for YEEEARS! Shouts to Gabe, Anno and of course Producer Grind! 🙏🏾😎
shout out to this guy for letting people know even if you been going hard ten years and nothing is really happening still keep goin and life can change in a year 💯💯
one of the best episodes by far on one of the best well explained marketing gems of all time this is what I've been looking for for a while now thanks guys
the biggest thing you want to take away from this is that you want to focus on LEAD GENERATION because these emails will last your forever and you can continue to sell products and stay in contact with these people overtime
This is the one right here. Been diving deep into clickfunnels, purchased dotcom and expert secrets. I've been tryna work out how to combine it with production, can't wait to get into this one, let me go grab my pen and pad to digest this. Sincerely thank you!
you guys are great interviewers man...you know how to dig for the right questions, pinpoint gem parts of the convo that your guest says to elaborate more on, you guys really are great at this podcast shit man and you lowkey are influencing the culture as a whole... Dont ever stop!
Wow the whole episode was a gem usually I hate people saying " like " he was saying it a lot but it wasn't distracting to the content and props to you guys too the interviewers asking valuable questions but this was an awesome episode super dope greatly appreciated salute
FINALLY!!! Gabe is easily the best guest you've had on this show. most other episodes are NOT very informative. the famous industry producers don't seem very smart, and if they are they don't want to inspire others. i'm being mentored by Gabe right now and he's amazing. best producer in the game. he's a trail blazer
Essentially you need to learn the language of Marketing and Sales. I work for a giant tech company and we essentially do the same thing on a much larger scale. It's all about upsales, targeting, focusing on providing value and advertising - Rinse and repeat.
for producers at a higher level that want to branch out and enter the sphere of main income being there job, towards main income with producing this is a helpful video! Now days you have to be your own business and have that in your mind otherwise your beats are worthless! There are tons of other examples not considered in this video but the take away is your not gonna make money unless you have a bigger mindset to the genre of making a successful living at producing! Beat Stars and leasing beats alone doesnt cut it anymore......even if your on your A game.....If your thinking that way then your already the looser. Pro tip.....if your not assaulting instagram and targeting potential client pulls then your already behind even past this advice in this video! If you dont have email pools based off specific target groups depending on your current project your already light years behind!
So glad I have a new beat making partner to take care of the music so I can focus solely on the marketing and business of this. Thank you so much for this episode! 2020 is gonna be a big year!
Man I been tryin to do my email list all year.. this video the best tht explain it. For any business ... thanks #ProducerGrind - Peanskean Riddler #TheRiddler
I have never taken classes in beat productions. I didn't go to school for making instrumentals all I did was study myself on different programs and I studied other producer's.
I don't have any equipment anymore and I don't have a computer with a tower. I tried downloading production systems on my cell and my phone wouldn't accept it. I will never lose my passion for making beats but I am going to have to stay patient to get my productions running again.
I follow a number of Fitness UA-camrs. Brandon Carter was one of them and he was talking about sales funnels like 3 years ago. He would tell trainers to start with a free ebook about training or dieting for their email and then upsell them products and services as you build your brand with them. He was talking about using Facebook because Facebook demographics and ability to target people is unmatched. For example, you post a video on FB and 100,000 people watched and 3000 people leave a comment. You can run an ad against those 3000 commenters and then run another ad against the people who watch the ad to drive all of them into your sales funnels. BTW, Brandon Carter learn all those from same guy Legion learned from , Russell Brunson.
