Thx for sharing! I just started the audiobook Building a Story Brand so this popped up :) amazing delivery of message and love the part where you explained the Why!
The $50k DJ plays the music everyone wants to hear, and are expected to do so by the promoters. The $2k dj will play music they love, and are allowed to play whatever they want to.
@@NeighborhoodArtSupply so happy you remember me! i remember meeting you at the guitar center in OC and you were actually the first guy i knew with a tattoo that i could say was actually ART. it was that vintage camera you had with the film reel flowing all wild. you appeared on my feed as i was brushing my teeth and i definitely recognized your face!! congrats on all the major success. loving your messages!
@@Patrick-ryan-collinsalright. I can say with 100 percent certainty that the analysis was wrong. Grom the middle of the video he gives you really valid advice on building your brand. Not just blabbering around about needing to make a brand. You should be more alert if you want to achieve something.
Big names like you mention have had their music get big distribution and play. No one in my state has the money to pay 50K for a DJ for a one night event. That stuff is easy to do when you’re in a major city. I have been a nightclub DJ here in the Midwest for over 18 years. Sure… if I was paid that much I’d have a bigger brand!!
Bro you look so young for having played DJ sets on vinyl. You cant possibly be older than 30 but good work bro. Great hook, I’m not a DJ but am a creator. Felt this video was insightful. Thank you for taking the time to create 🙏🫶🙂
As a long time DJ, the framework and models you presented is amazing! I took notes for each of the 8 questions and plan to use the framework to help communicate my story and brand better! Keep up the amazing content and videos! Thanks.
i only really like Vinyl DJ sets.. there's more life to them all the people who use beat matching tech just end up with no real life in the blends or tempo etc
✌ I found out (the hard way) : 1st ❗ U need 2 know the right people who like U & R willing 2 give U a CHANGE ❗ The dancing crowed can say what ever they want, but they R mainly not in a position 2 arrange your next spin 😥 So I gave up 🖕
Clubbing is dead. Just look at the latest Boiler Room sets...like who the fuck wants to go and be surrounded by phone zombies staring at a talentless DJ pressing the sync button. The whole problem with the scene is overpaid DJs. There is no mystery any more and no Underground. RIP.
@@fearofjazzz man way to bring down the vibe. Maybe it’s just that you aren’t invited to any more parties and all you know are the weak club nights. Get out there and find the good music and support the scene. Just sayin

I think that talk direct to the camera is way better than pretend you're in a podcast

The entire message is just build a brand. Didn’t really need to be 17 minutes long in fake podcast format, but I guess that’s what brand is huh.
Thanks for saving me the time😂❤

No DJ is worth £50k a gig.
If 1,000 people are willing to pay 50 to see that dj they def are worth that much
