Ive the version 3 pd1701 400 tachymetre bezel and less the two dots on the 12 oclock baton...Much prefer the 500 tachynetre bezel and 2 dots V6 version..For the money the pd1701s are u cannot go wrong for a speedy homage....But for me watchdives v2 is the best out there i think and is on my list to get...Great review...
Cant properly judge the watch's AR coating and finish with the plastic on. That was quite disappointing. Badly wanted to see the automatic movement but the watch remained lifeless throughout the video. I understand you are new to this, so we are all looking forward to a revised version. Cheers!
Is the 3 o'clock subdial on the Phylida a totalizer? Or an independent hand that can show a second time zone? It was hard to tell from the camera angles, but it looks different from the other three. The other three looked like they were 24 hour dials locked to the main minute and hour hands. That might be a big selling point for me.
I have the real Speedy sapphire sandwich but I would like to pick up a homage that I can wear while working with my hands. I do have the Pagani but in my opinion it doesn’t look like the Speedy. It’s nice in its own way and I have worn it a lot. I’m interested in the SteelDive. It does really look like a speedy. They need to thin that bezel out though. I didn’t know the SteelDive had a version two. I wasn’t a fan of that blocky case or the coin edge case back. Good that they addressed that. Now fix the bezel SteelDive! The Phylida is nice, I have the Bond Phylida and no complaints with it. I don’t need a mechanical homage watch though. A quartz is just fine for a beater and I think the SteelDive is more true to the real thing. Great review.
Informative review! I love Speedy watches, but I had some reservations about Pagani Design. However, I’m quite impressed with the dial quality of Watch Dives. I’ll definitely be considering it for my next purchase during the upcoming sale.
I have an original 1967 Ed White, Cal. 321 on bracelet. If anyone wants to know actual specs/measurements just for comparison to these or any others you may be considering. *Lug to Lug: 48.47mm Lug Width: 20mm Case Thickness (incl. crystal): 14mm Bezel Diameter: 39.75mm Case Diameter (incl. crown): 43.25mm Crown Diameter: 6.6mm Weight (on bracelet sized for 7 1/4" wrist) 155g.* Good luck with the channel. It takes some time to get your feet under you and grow your channel, but stick with it and you'll do great.
@@hrtbrkrwtch Got my white version now. The dail and details are great, the white background is actually white (not like the pearl/silverish Pagani)! Bracelet and clasp also better than PD1701. I don't see much difference or smaller height dimensions for case tho. Case is on pair with Pagani :) Not sure if I would spend double for the black Watchdives version. The black pagani seems like great value. For white I would spend it again.
I was really looking forward to the vid but could not watch it all the way because of the plastic. Hard to see the details. I would humbly suggest removing the plastic. 😊👍
The plastic on the Watchdives looks better than the one on the Phylida
Comparing with the plastics on the watches strange I think. Please do it again with out the packaging plastics
Thank you for explaining the thickness difference between the two versions of the watchdives.

VERY helpful (despite the plastic wrapping fiasco), THANK YOU!
I cant even find the phylida on ali express when i search for it.

would be interested to know which is the best to do moonswatch dial and movement swap with.
Remove the plastic, then talk!
Yeah I'm a dummy.
I used to believe reviewing a watch without wrist shots was dumb, but this is a whole new level : D
I aim to please :p

Nice overview. Next time get the plastic wrap off 😉
I own the Pagani V3 and just ordered the Watchdives V2 in white. Quite excited
You will be pleased! I may end up grabbing the white v2 as well since I'm enjoying the black one so much!

How much did the Phylida Speedy cost you?
I think upwards of $150 maybe with a coupon.
Why not unwrap the watch? Really? Keep your day job. You measure a wrapped watch? LMAO Guess that's why you have 6 followers.
Fortunately my day job pays well :) May compare gen next.
Why be so aggressive, he is just starting out , he is providing a service for free , just give feedback with a little bit of respect,
@@brianfromirelandthank you! I will get better with practice:)
PD version 6 (I have) and looks great! Lume, obviously sucks as is always the case with Pagani.

are you planning to giveaway the V2?
Jesus dude. You sound like you’re scratching the hell out of those watches.
The only advantage of not taking off the plastic in advance. haha
