    Please don't wave the watch all over the place. I can't get a decent look at it. It would also be helpful if you could show the crown and the back of the watches. Also tell us a little about the bracelet. Some bracelets are just junk. I don't want to spend $200 on a watch only to have to spend another $60-100 for a decent bracelet. So please hold the watch still, Thank you.

    Hey Gary,
    Love your videos. Two things, first, I’ve owned the Pagani Speedmaster for quite a while and just love it. Feels so good on wrist and just don’t see myself ever getting rid of it. Two, your tone and mannerisms ASMR me into pure relaxation. lol! I think you have lulled me into making purchases I probably shouldn’t have made. Hahah thanks

      The ones I have purchased don’t seem to be as high a quality as everyone says. Almost all of mine have had rough edges and they don’t supply a long enough bracelets for people like me with larger wrists. Most others I have no problem.

    I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the Cadisen Aqua Diver, I just ordered it in white, and I don't expect to receive it for at least three weeks (which is normal). It is based on a micro brand watch that has a >2 year waiting list and is >3X the price. Love your reviews!

      @GaryWatches  Місяць тому +1

      Cadisen is a brand I haven’t added to my collection so far. I don’t think I can give you an honest opinion at this point. I have heard some others recommend Cadisen so I think you will be happy.

    I just picked up $98.00 Olevs on Mazon. It's the all stainless model. It's a green dial diver. I was very skeptical but for the price I said why not. The watches short coming is the band. While fine, andvit looks ok, you can tell it's where they saved the most money.
    Overall, I'm very pleased with how great it looks. What a great price for an automatic. It comes with a really nice case, and a bracelet tool. I'm becoming addicted to these cheap watches. They always just work, and look good.

    Hi Gary, first time here in your channel. You have there a great collection. Very interesting recommendations. If you don't have them, you should try them: the Steeldive 1970; Seestern 62mas; and there's a Tendorio W10 in 36mm. All 3 would be my "I'd buy them again" AliExpress watches.
    You have a new sub.
    Best regards

    Best feature of the seestern is the lumed date, how often do you see that. Also, I have the proxima and it's amazing, far enough from the OG that it's not recognizable as a homage and that CW light catcher case never fails to amaze.

    I also have the red Pagani Moonwatch homage (PD-1701) which I oil-filled and now it's a real stunner by the extreme viewing angle now visible especially given its slightly domed crystal. I just ordered the black/gold version - in fact I just might buy the lot of variants and oil-fill them all. Oddly enough Seestern won't ship to my address in Canada and I have no clue why that is with certain brands/items.

    • @GaryWatches
      @GaryWatches  Місяць тому +1

      You should do a video on oil filled. I have been looking at a brand that offers oil filled and the clarity was unbelievable. Didn’t know you can do it with other watches.

    I have been collecting watches for about three years now, and I own two of those six you covered (the Addiesdive, and Pagani's speedy interpretation). But these styles of watches don't do it for me, and it took me some time and money to learn that. I find them bulky, see no utility in those bezels, and I much rather wear a watch on a leather strap than a bracelet. I even found GMT hands too much of a distraction from normal time-telling that it is worth having them for the few occasions when you want that complication. I turned out to be more of dresswatch/pilotwatch kind of guy, and I see the reviewers' focus on divers and chronos now with a sense of bewilderment.

    • @wngimageanddesign9546
      @wngimageanddesign9546 Місяць тому +1

      There is no wrong way or right way to styles and collecting. It's all subjective. I've been drawn to divers and chronos because they are ruggedly spec-ed, and suits my lifestyle. I do scuba dive and have taken most of my dive capable watches diving. From Seiko SQ100's to Swiss brands. And I also enjoy motorcycles, car racing, and bicycle racing. Thus I have watches with stopwatch/split times functions. Or have digital computer watches. Some must be light, all must be W.R. and sweat resistant.
      And, there is nothing wrong with dress watches, or vintage styled, or pilot and field watches. Weight, thickness, simplicity, and clothing constraints apply. I also like these and own several of each category.
      And then there are those who love complications....ie. Casio G-Shock, Citizen, or Breitling pilot watches. Then you have Swiss movement, and skeleton fanatics. Tourbillon, see-through backs, etc. Let's not leave out the gaudy luxury bejeweled monstrosity crowd. LOL!

      the model number for the 40mm is Model: PD1762 V4 which I recommend may be slightly different than what I showed as I had a 42mm in the video. Even I sometimes can’t tell the difference between the two except the movement is better in the 40mm.

    You can find some decent stuff on Aliexpress but I have found if anything goes wrong with them it’s nearly impossible to find someone to service them.

    • @GaryWatches
      @GaryWatches  Місяць тому +3

      I get it but many watches are like $60-$80 which it would cost more to service it. So it’s important to return a watch if anything doesn’t appear right when you purchase it. I have had good luck buying as many watches as I have obtained. Now a couple of them I needed to adjust the automatic movement but for the cost of the watch I feel much more at ease at opening it up. I know everyone won’t feel that way.

    Do you see where it says 200m! That is lies, I’ve tried it on two of the watches here, they barely made 10m. Total waste of money, do not buy these watches, you are better of with replicas that have been properly tested for depth.

    • @GaryWatches
      @GaryWatches  Місяць тому

      I don’t regularly test the watches but the Pagani Rolex Explorer II which is rated for 100m I took it in the water for two hours during a water volleyball game. Still running and I was in shock. So I’m a lot more trusting diver watches than ever from AliExpress. Now I wouldn’t wear a chronograph or dress watch in the water.

    • @ragetobe
      @ragetobe Місяць тому
