- As we arrived in Krakeel River, we were greeted with a gentle drizzle. We immediately made our way to Mount Africa, the farm where we would be spending the night. As we pulled up to the entrance of the farm, I was struck by the sheer beauty of the place. The mist hanging over the area was as pretty as a postcard. The next morning, as we stepped out of our accommodation, the sun was shining brightly and I couldn't wait to explore. The beauty of the surroundings was breathtaking. I walked around, taking in the stunning scenery and enjoying the fresh air. Soon we hit the road to check out the town, and we were surprised to learn that Krakeel River had such a rich history. We discovered that the town had celebrated its 250th year of existence, and the Strydom family had played a significant role in its development. We came across a monument that told the story perfectly, and I felt a sense of awe. As we drove through the area, we marvelled at the sheer beauty of it all. The rolling hills, the lush greenery, and the peacefulness were simply breathtaking. Unfortunately we couldn't get very close to the old station building, but even from a distance, we could see how badly it had deteriorated. All in all, our visit to Krakeel River was an awesome experience and left a lasting impression on us. We were grateful for the opportunity to explore such a remarkable place and create unforgettable memories. #DustBugs #adventuretravel #southafrica #southafricavlog #travelongravel #easterncape #krakeelriver

Thanks to the two of you, I’m now able to see places I didn’t even known to exist.
Thanks for putting Krakeel on the map :-) I enjoy traveling with you. Keep going and safe driving. And thanks for all the videos.
So, we start with a leetle dreezle.....Lovely stay over place. I would certainly make use of the outdoor heated bath. We have yet to see you guys make a braai! Daai brood lyk so lekker. That is my ideal supper, looks like fig jam, so yummmm! The morning chorus is so beautiful. Lovely area, lucky people! I enjoy my pears nice and juicy, but they mustnt be melerig, same for apples. "Dames en Here, appels en pere"....Really enjoyed the trip down the gravel road, and what a beautiful sky coming back into the town. In the olden days a woman was buried outside the cemetary if she had an illegitimate child. Thank you for an awesome interesting video.
Hi guys another gem what a lovely farm and accommodation great idea heating the splash pool with wood fire I suppose it's logical as the drone footage shows the big forest. What a nice gesture home made bread and jam .l am with Sonia in such a beautiful valley into the size of the fruit operation. The monument was really interesting the stradom family going back to 1690 for me to put it into context its year its the year of the battle of the Boyne and King William of orange becoming King of GB amazing. The grave outside the cemetery is intriguing.i think you succeeded in finding the railway buildings It looks like they have been turned into living accommodation. I thought it was great the are making their own pallets giving more work for the people thanks for another fantastic video cheerio till the next one
Hi you two! Thank you for this wonderful trip! It must be great to wake up on a sunny morning with cooing doves and the sun shining after the drizzly evening. The stay over looked nice and cozy and the surroundings, both farm and nature, green and lovely as your drone footage shows. The trees along the roads were really special, 'green peace' :).

Another famous descended is Boer general Ignatius Ferreira (Free State), his son Ignatius married the second daughter of Boer hero Koos de la Rey. Sir Roy Welensky 's mother was Ferreira and his grandmother was Strydom...
