They were Motorhead. They played Rock-n-Roll! R.I.P. Lemmy, Philthy, Eddie, & Wurzel.
are They all Passed?
Chris Stratton “ don’t forget us “
@@whatchatalkinboutwillis9894 yes :/
@@whatchatalkinboutwillis9894 Unfortunately. First drummer Phil September 21. 2015, then Lemmy December 28. 2015 and now Eddie January 10. 2018. Music lives.
The original guitarist Larry Wallis just died too.
Still hard to believe all three members of this lineup are gone. But they died as they lived and never compromised. Lemmy wouldn't have it any other way.
Lemmy, one of those guys that literally personified the rock and roll lifestyle, the real deal.
And a 100% gentleman.
@@11DNA11 And definitely NOT a Nazi, as some claimed.
RIP Lemme
@@11DNA11 he always came across as a nice guy who never showed any malice, had a sense of humor about himself. Just a good natured guy that could party the lot of us under the table!! RIP Lemmy.
Sadly....all are gone....RIP Motörhead!!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Gone, but not forgotten.
"I Don't Wanna Live Forever" !!!
According to my parents, Motorhead was the one band that punk-rockers and metal-heads could agree on. I can definitely see where they're coming from.
Agreed ,and I was punk ,love motorhead
And Slayer!
Punks love Venom as well
I know that Lemmy said that "they played rock", but this band was a real bridge between punk and heavy, a kind of hybrid.
What a kickass song, and what rocker the late great Lemmy Kilmister was! RIP ♤
Gary Lindsey R.I.P. Lemmy and Godspeed
Lemmy once said he made more money for co-writing songs on Ozzy's No More Tears album than he did from his entire time in Motorhead.
True that!
At first Kel was like... "What am I listening to?"....
By the lead guitar break, you could see it in her smile. She's got it.
Funny story about this iconic song, according to Lemmy on the Behind the Music episode "Ace of Spades". Lemmy apparently wrote it in the studio when the producer went to get something to eat. Took him a matter of minutes to do the lyrics. He walked into the lounge and said "I've done it." Vic Maile, the producer, just said "Oh, f*** off, I haven't even had my sandwich yet."
dc4457 haha that's mint 😂😂😂
I saw Motorhead live just after this charted, at the Odeon in Chelmsford, supported by GirlsSchool.
The venue was absolutely rammed solid (probably twice the legal capacity), and people only had enough space to kinda bounce on the spot.
The rhythmic bouncing caused so much structural damage it was beyond repair. It was the last event to be held there, as the structural engineers who were called in to assess the damage afterwards condemned the building.
Talk about bringing th house down!
Do you remember when Motor headgirl school released please don't touch?
ua-cam.com/video/z0jvW9Sp6e4/v-deo.html
they did the same at the leas cliff hall in folkestone - the building is built into the side of a cliff... apparently it moved a few inches. Motorhead didn't play there for almost ten years while the building was shored up and restrengthened. Their first gig back was really quiet, a year later they came back with girl school supporting..... my ears were still ringing 2 days later - Awesome show! (the building survived)
Without Motorhead, there never would have been a Metallica, among countless others. Pure, raw, in your face rock & roll. RIP, boys.
Timestamp when the music starts: 6:28
"If we were as your neighbor, your lawn would die"
- Lemmy
If this doesn't get you head-bobbing, then you're dead...
This is definitely their most famous song but you should give some more listens to these guys.
"Who are those Mexicans and how do they play that fast"? - Scott Ian, Anthrax
LMAO! What a good one!
Chris Stratton you mean the Warning . ? They are 3 little Mexicans and they ( still play rock n roll 🌶
@@philipjenkins2198 That was a quote from Scott Ian about his initial reaction to Motorhead. The Warning kicks ass too, I hope they stick with it.
Chris Stratton I remember he saw the cover of ace of spades
Besides the music “first reactions”, y’all show such a kind and generous ❤️ for our fellow Human Beings who have found themselves in dire straights recently! Luv you both!!!! ❤️❤️
Thank you so much for saying that Greg. Awareness is key in times like this. Help can not arrive quick enough for them. Good lord.
The bomber, one track mind ! ❤
That song was on the UK tv show (young ones)
Michael Anderson Loved that show!
@@johnmccullough6540 yes it's out on dvd I have it
And on the kids favourite Satuday morning show "Tiswas." It's on UA-cam. GREAT FUN!
Saw that!!! At the train station!!!LOL!!!
This song is about Lemmy's love of gambling. "Fast" Eddie Clarke (RIP) was an amazing guitarist. Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor (RIP) was an awesome drummer. "Killed by Death" was a hit for them.
That Rickenbacker bass is awesome.
Greatest band ever, can't believe those three wonderfully badass gentlemen have left us
RIP Lem, Fast Ed and Phil
RIP Motorhead
I can really appreciate all the knowledge that both you and Kel do have. I seriously have learned alot. So happy to have come upon your station.
Killed by death also kicks butt.
Yup that's my fav , " If you squeeze my lizard , then I'll put the snake on you."
And weirdly, though only if you're NOT British, frontman Lemmy, who passed 28th December 2015, was loved by us all, especially by us musicians, but more widely, simply for being who he was - the essence of a rough tough, gunslinger-rockstar, but also, quiet, VERY clever, and very, very funny & self-deprecating - stuff we love the most. He was a STAR, as was this line-up of his band, xxx
You can't please everybody, don't even try to. Just be you, and be honest, and the real fans will stay with you
Don't listen to the haters. You two keep this up! You're both amazing people and I love seeing your reaction to the music that you play.
"I Don't Wanna Live Forever" is one of rock 'n' Roll's greatest F you lines of all time!
My favourite reactionists (not sure if thats a word) but you take reactionary videos to another level with your background knowledge and empathy. Keep up the good work!
RIP Motorhead, one of the best heavy metal british bands ever, and Ace of spades is a classic
Hello we are Motorhead and we play rock n roll!!
One of the best metal songs in history.
I am from Iraq and start to enjoy watching your channel, you guys look great and your tastes and responses to music are just awesome, I start following you after seeing your reaction to Marillion (misplaced childhood). I wanna say i am a great fan of Fish(the ex vocal of the band) and Steve Rothery is my favorite guitarist. Would also love watching you reacting to Radiohead
Thank you so much Zana satori! We are so glad that you tune in and share these songs and experiences with us! Much love from South Florida! 👏👏👏👏👏👏🙏🏽
Saw them in the early 90s in Wilmington NC. Couldn't hear for weeks. The best. Rip lemmy
RIP Lemmy. Definitely one of a kind, and missed.
I think you are the best reactors on youtube, and I like how you love each other, cheers from Costa Rica keep doing what ur doing please
Ace of Spades... perfect car chase music.
Thanks for this reaction guys
Lemmy does an interview and shows how he gets the sound he does with a bass, I drove my neighbors nuts playing this on my bass in the 80's.
Hi👍
Good choice Motörhead
Classic Rock'nRoll song
Lemmy Kilmister. Mr Rock n Roll.
The Rock n Roll gentleman.
The historican.
THE Man.
RIP Mr Lemmy (lend me some money) Kilmister.
The late great Lemmy and all the band now sadly deceased. When the Brits headbang, boy do we headbang! Modern bands, listen and learn!
The UA-cam version was way more compressed... Probably because the source was an MP3 and re-encoded into the video file and re-re-encoded by UA-cam.
There is not a rock star alive that doesn't bow down to Lemmy. The ultimate legend!
If you're an oldy like me You'll remember Motorhead performing this live on the classic Brit 80s comedy 'The young ones'
Legends
Killed By Death
🤘💀🤘
Gotta do that next!! More Motörhead!!!
Saw Motorhead so many times when I was a teenager. Alas they have all gone taken a final bow and the world is a sadder place for it.
Thank You for being here and your safe. I am struggling and your voices help, thanks.
long live Motorhead! Miss you Lemmy
I saw Motörhead in Charlotte,NC on they’re The World is Yours tour,, totally awesome Clutch came out first,, wheeeeeew!
The Greatest Rock & Roll Band
Motorhead "stay clean" would be awesome !
The whole Ace of Spades album is killer!
Lemmy of Motorhead once fronted the band "Hawkwind" and had a big hit with "Silver Machine" he was fired from Hawkwind and they learned later what a bad mistake that was when he formed Motorhead. R.I.P Lemmy.
I love the album cover, one of my first
I saw Motorhead at Glasgow Apollo in 1980 . One of the loudest gigs I've ever been to. There were some guys down at the front who had their heads stuck in the bass bins and one of them had blood streaming from his ears by the end of the gig . Never seen anything like that before or since . R.I.P. Lemmy and the guys (the epitome of the Rock lifestyle )
This song has such a great message...
I remember seeing Motorhead double bill with AC/DC in Bath Pavillion in1976. That was loud and the cider flowed.
Rock and Roll baby! Motorhead was in a league of their own.
Motorhead yeah!!!!!! 🤟😎🤟
hey caco.....how do? know you from the live chats lol
@@TheLamz1111 hahaha nice greetings From Chile 🇨🇱 😁
@@CacoMetal_JackandRoll Hope you're havin a good day! Greetings!
@@TheLamz1111 you are very kind ty! I hope your day has also been spectacular 👍😁👍
@@CacoMetal_JackandRoll wouldnt go that far lol...but very nice indeed....lightin up a bowl now ...about to get better lol
Try 'Dancing on your Grave' for a more polished Motorhead sound, with ex-Thin Lizzy guitarist Brian Robertson.
The spotify version is an early remaster,. you can hear that they clipped the top volume to get it to fit in an early digital format.
For a great Motörhead live show Performance, go to the 2005 Stage Fright show (a good, clean dvd rip) and watch them play “Sacrifice.” You get the song WITH a drum solo!!
Best line I heard today... You live every day you only die once.
Heyyyy guys!!! Missed ya!
Three songs from their 1985 birhtday concert..motörhead, bomber and mean machine. So much brutal force that you could bring all world "leaders" on their knees with it :D \m/
rich n kel
best versionis live one from, 'no sleep til hammersmith' album which was firs tlive album ever to go to number one the first day it came out
Motorhead LEGENDS.
Love motorhead. R I P.
Phil Taylor was like the first cat to use doubles bass drums in his kit!
Cool video Glad you introduced her to Motorhead next time you do a video about Lemmy talk a little bit more about Lemmy
He did what he love till he died who can say that rip all 3 guys oh and fuck the hates we love you two
To get to the meat and potato's go to 16:34... enjoy.
If band genre-typing is necessary, when it comes to Motörhead, they are best described by Lemmy’s own words at the opening of every show: “We are Motörhead and we play Rock & Roll!!” Lemmy never used any other description. Motörhead was a rock and roll band. Period.
A classic Kell! Stay safe! I probably butchered your name but oh well. Stay safe! 🤟😁
Can we get the song Motorhead from 77 or Bomber from 79.
ACE has a special place in my heart. My late buddy PAUL looked like a bucks fizz or boney m fan,but give him a pint , a pool cue and spin ACE on the jukebox and he became a rock maniac god. RIP PAUL ,30 Years and probably standing on gods pool table rocking ACE on anangels pool cue. miss you Bro.
I'd turned up the speed for another video, was listening to it thinking its even faster than I remember!
One of the loudest concerts I've ever been to .
Motorhead- 'Shine' should be next.
Love y koppel from Skandinavien 😊
you look so pretty, Kel...love the headband
Yeah!!!
Heard this song when I was 10 - 11 years old back in 1980 and it blev me away. Thank you.
Can you not react to more Powerwolf?
Would be better if Kel saw the boys playing the track, she looked frightened and excited, very cool
i love Motorhead !!!!!!!
It’s all about the visual performance of Lemmy and the band, you should watch a live performance will add a totally new level of bad ass, Lemmy was a very unique man and he will live forever :)
gah...what? U'v been doin' this for how many...and just now ? wow....at least its known now. It can not be unknown. Lemmy!!!!
Ever heard of napalm Death?
From Birmingham England.
Very hard/heavy metal band.
Glad you are survivors!
You guys should've watched the one of this song with a mix of the first three Mad Max movies. Very cool!
I'm not a Motörhead fan all in all, but a few songs like this one are very cool, and Lemmy was the embodiment of Rock 'n' Roll.
motorhead the band that never stopped touring.
Ace of Spades is Motorhead's 5th album.
Music starts at 6:30
Motor Head Rocks!!! If there was a world catastrophe Lenny would be The last man standing LOL
Hell yes the great and mighty Lemmy
Lemmy taking his cue from his Hawkwind experience of course. This reminds me very much of the Pink Fairies who did a lot of free gigs - have a listen to 'Do it' and 'The Snake' I would also love to see Kels reaction to 'Anesthetize' by Porcupine Tree.
I was in a club in Brum aka Birmingham England and they played Silver Machine I think i'm still deaf from it lol.
Moterhead. Sorely missed. We could a few Motorheads today.
Motorhead... man, this is funny, A bunch of buddies of mine have a basement band. One day I asked if I could come on over and listen and pick up chords. They said Yes..... BUT. You have to be initiated in, Your Song will be Whorehouse Blues by of course Motorhead.... So after 8 or so gigs now, I sing that tune, and my nick is Lemmy LOL...Quick bit on Lemmy. He had his own "Spot" at the "Rainbow" in L.A. where he played a slot machine until the weeeee hours of the morning. Keep rockin it guys Cheers from Ottawa!!
