How many cities in the world would have existed for over 2000 years? Not many, I suppose. I once had a dumpling feast in Xian some 20 years ago. It served more than a dozen types of dumplings, from golf ball size to finger nail size.

Suzhou (Wu County, Wushi) - Established around 514 BC, it is known for its historical and cultural significance. Nanchang (Loyang, Hongdu) - Established around 202 BC, it was the capital of the Wu Kingdom during the Three Kingdoms period. Chongqing (Yongchuan) - Established around 316 BC, it has been an important city throughout various dynasties. Wuhan (Hankou, Hanyang) - Established around 223 BC, it was the capital of the Shu Kingdom during the Three Kingdoms period. Fuzhou (Min County, Minzhong, Fuzhou) - Established around 202 BC, it has been an important city during various dynasties. Nanjing (Jinling, Jiankang) - Established around 472 BC, it has been a capital city during various periods in Chinese history. Zhengzhou (Xinzheng, Dengfeng) - Established around 1500 BC, it is an important ancient city in the central plains region. Have you been to China in 1980? Then you should travel to China again in 2024. You will find that China now and China in 1980 are completely different worlds.
Thanks for the beautifully made video. It is warm to the heart and I went to Xi'an with my students on a school field trip about 30 years ago. I did not get a chance to see what you showed us in the video because it was led by a tour guide. I love to visit the city again if my health permits. I am sure there must be lots of changes to Xi'an since then.Good job, 加油!
Really happy to hear you liked my video! I hope that one day you’ll be able to go back to Xi’an. I’m sure Xi’an is quite different now than it was 30 years ago. But I’m sure ancient sites like the Drum and Bell towers will always be there 🙌🏻
@@kameilong Yes sorry about that! But you are very charming and engaging and being that photogenic is definitely a very relevant plus in this kind of thing. Your partner is delightful as well and so sassy! Your contrasting styles complement each other brilliantly. The way you synchronise music and image is particularly clever and well judged.
Nice videos 👍🏻.I plan to go in China next May with my girlfriend from Kunming, Yunnan. You showed us new places to ad in our trip. Thank you. From Montreal. Btw, is it possible to get Lou’s video on UA-cam ?
Cool to hear my videos had an influence on your itinerary haha! Yunnan is beautiful! Also nice to see a fellow Canadian here 🙌🏻 There’s a possibility Lu could put them on UA-cam in the future, but for now you can watch them on Xiaohongshu if you can’t access Douyin!
Hey Kameilong, I followed you from TikTok when you meet your first love in Xi'an. Really like you in your girl's video. Looking forward to see you in China again~
Xian is the starting point of the famous original Silk Road to the West during the Tang Dynasty (618AD~907AD). The walls of the ancient capital city is very well preserved and maintained throughout its existence in the last 3,000 years.
I dun get it like why western ppl would actually think there’s Asian style toilets inside the hotel room?..".. never ever had that from my experience, as a Xianer. But anyway welcome to my home town, we r one of the four ancient cities in the world.;)
Dude, cut me some slack haha 😭 It was my first time ever in a hotel in China. Appreciate the welcome! Xi’an is absolutely beautiful, and you can really feel the history. It’s mind blowing knowing how ancient it is, yet so advanced for it’s time.
I had the privilege of visiting China and Xian 13 years ago I loved every second of my three week visit

I’m not too sure, but regardless, 2000 years is super old! Xi’an’s history is impressive. I like the sound of golf ball sized dumplings 🤤

Thank you for sharing the truth about China to the world ❤
Absolutely 🙌🏻 Westerners have been lied to for years. I hope that I can show people in the West just how amazing China is.
I'm a lifetime roujiamo fan. When I first had it in the 1980's it was 0.2rmb a piece, equal to 0.03usd at that time.
Wow… 0.2rmb for roujiamo… what a time to be alive 😭🙏🏻

IMHO You should try Yang Rou Pao Mo (羊肉泡馍) at least once at some back street local restaurant. 🤣
Spoilers! We did haha. Might be in one of my coming videos 👌🏻 Though, it might’ve been in a more touristy area. I can’t remember.
I have to say the bgm you choose is very tasteful and thoughtful.
I appreciate that! I always try to carefully choose music that evokes the right feeling for each scene.

Hello 👋🏻
It would be amazing to hear those drums beat in unison, like the old days, I guess.
I agree! Just imagine how epic that would sound 👌🏻

Your first LOVE!
You got that right 😭👌🏻
You are so cute, xian is a good city
Yes, and thank you for speaking up to your western boyfriend.
How presumptious of him to pass that unfounded remark, "proper toilet."
Nice vlog🎉❤
Glad you liked it 🙌🏻
Definitely! Food is such an important aspect of all cultures 🙏🏻
You should!
❤❤❤❤❤
can't believe you didn't check out the subway in chengdu 😔
so did you two dress up? 😅
Nope, Xi’an was the first time we took the subway on our trip 😅 What you saw in the video is about as dressed up as we got haha
beautiful
nice..
We have chahuanong in Toronto
You’re right! We realized that some time afterwards 😱
Beautiful Xi'an!
Xi’an is super beautiful!
❤
Fan from RED!
Welcome! 🙌🏻
Haha hope you’ll be a fan of my channel too 😂
Dude bears a resemblance to the former Real Madrid and Arsenal player, Mesut Ozil.
Haha no way 😂 I know exactly who Ozil is. Used to watch him when he played for the Germany national team
❤❤
Meat holding bun (Ro jiamuo) is your favourite Chinese food ? LOL
Roujiamo and also Chongqing wanzamian 😎

Welcome to Xi An🎊
Thank you!

Yes, we just went there the other day! Tasted mostly similar to the one in Xi’an 🙏🏻

Roger Moore!
Haha, wait what? Me? 😂
@@kameilong That's what Westerners usually call Rou Jia Mo 🤣
@@SuhandiWijaya ooooh lmao. I know what you mean 😂
Xian means western peace.
Proper toilet my foot , scientific proven the proper way to rid one’s solid waste is to do it in a squat position.
I don’t disagree with that! I still prefer my western style toilet though 🤷🏻♂️ “Proper” definitely wasn’t the right word or what I meant though 😅
Oh you that one who ate a lot in Chinese TikTok 😛
Haha yes that’s me. Welcome to my UA-cam channel 👋🏻

I like pork Rou jia mo because you could taste fat in it
Its shredded pork, not poro floss.
Technically, yes it’s shredded pork! But I’m certain the proper name in English is Pork Floss (肉鬆)

Ok time for you to come to the Philippines 🇵🇭
