there is rumors floating round that Rockstar might help produce a AEW game. they had a very breif teaser of it only i think it may have been fan made. Fan made or not, it was still a pretty impressive trailer in any case.
Imagine this game with wwe resources. Backstage areas, more moves, deeper roster, and all the crazy gimmick matches tna had around that time. Svr would have gotten a run for its money.
9:44 About the quiet arenas, I do know that it's a deliberate design choice when you wrestle in the Japanzone meant to emulate the atmosphere of a puroresu crowd.
First time I saw a match from Japan (Bigelow vs Vader) I was shocked by how quiet and respectful the fans are It made it all the more real when they did react to something In a mainstream industry where the fans are big on noise and short on emotion, the Japanese crowds are sometimes a welcome change
The current Impact roster is full of good athletes, but it doesn't have 1/10 of the star power and star appeal seen in this game. Not even close, it's abysmal compared to the good old years of TNA. You need more than a bunch of good athletes to sell something as expensive to produce like a video game, Impact just doesn't have any real stars right now to sell this type of merch. AEW on the other hand definitely has the right roster to produce one.
@@jonathanturbide2232 true AEW currently has more star power but Impact has been around longer and I feel as tho an Impact game now could offer a lot more content with unlockables.
I also agree with your point on entrances. It really completes the experience. I remember as a kid getting an entrance and ramp for my wrestling toys. Good times.
I'm just really checking it out myself. It's certainly not a bad game. This roster felt weird to me being a attitude era kid. Like, it felt like a mash of WCW vs WWE lol. Another dope video fam. I think you'll 50k easy soon. Keep grinding 💪🏾
I was so hyped for this game when it released because I was so tired of wwe games for so long at that point that tna game was a let down for me I still enjoyed it but I came in with my expectations to high I guess
Great video, just a slight correction though. The PS2/PSP/Wii version of TNA Impact were actually developed by Point Of View Inc. (Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Spawn Armageddon, Blitz The League). They had a very good and long working relationship with Midway developing many of their games/ports. Sadly, like Midway, they are no longer around. Check out the DS version of Impact if you can. It was developed by Double Tap Games (Deadliest Catch Sea Of Chaos, Touchmaster Connect) and was made from the ground up for the system. It also has 3 exclusive playable characters in Mick Foley, Consequences Creed & Hulk Hogan. The gameplay modes are Single, Tag Team, Ultimate X, Four Corners & Steel Cage. You also have Bound For Glory which is basically the story mode. What's cool is that each story is completely different for every character. You also have Victory Road which is a basically a tournament style mode where you compete for the Heavyweight Championship, Tag Team Championship & Ultimate X Championship. All in all it's not that bad for the DS.
I had the xbox 360 version. Create a player was pretty bare bones and lame. I always liked the smackdown series more, but really the Ultimate X match was really fun. I really wished the sequal came out because while this game was sort of a letdown, it had HUGE potential. Ultimate X was new and unique, the reversals were so fun, especially reversing reversals into another reversal, It was awesome the first couple matches but yah, the move selection was extremely limited, no weapons other than chairs, etc. It became repetitive really quick.
This game had a lot of potential but the only reason for this comment was to say thank you for displaying the game that was my childhood prominently. I played skitchin for hours each day after school back in the90's
Skitchin was one of those games I rented all the time as a kid. It was really underrated and Blockbuster always only had a single copy but when it was there I grabbed it every time. I wanted to own it as a kid but I rarely got to purchase games. Finally when I was older I was able to pick it up.
Get Fire Pro World on PS4. There's Parts Craft, Move Craft, Logic, it's nuts. Plus you can download stuff from Fire Pro Net that other players created.
@@davo312 What I like about Fire Pro World is that you can have weapons like a chair, bat, barbed wire bat and fluorescent light tube. Moves in the game can incorporate a fork and a sickle. Match modes include landmines outside the ring with a choice between barbed wire boards and light tube boards in the corners. The ligh tubes on the boards can be taken off and used.
Going on a video watching spree. This is my third one today. I like how you're not all 'in your face' like some other wrestling games reviewers...not gonna mention any names

i played this on the 360 and honestly it was a great game, graphics were amazing, gameplay and everything was good, een better than some wwe games today

Definitely give this game an A for effort. I feel like if TNA would’ve continued making games it would’ve got better over time. I wish the Knockouts could’ve made the game.
We used to own this on Xbox 360 back in the day and I played it a fair bit and remembered liking it as we all were fans of TNA back then, but then my brothers sold it and I never really played it again after that. Interestingly the game also seems to run on the same engine as All Stars I think, they both play similar and share many sounds such as the menu sounds. I'd like to get this game again, probably for my PS3 so I can play it again after all these years as I never really got to play it a whole lot. I think this game had serious potential and a sequel could've been very good but sadly we never got that sequel, I wish we did as having more alternatives to WWE's games would've been a good thing even if it was just 1 promotion.
