Funny thing. I actually own, and still play, most of the wrestling games in these reviews. And yet, I've still watched every one of them! Good stuff man.

Despite the fact there's an ECW mod for No Mercy online, it would've been great seeing ECW done on it's own like No Mercy was. Let's all face it, No Mercy was just an awesome game.
For its time, this game wasn't that bad. It's essentially the same as WWF War Zone and Attitude. It was just amazing to be able to play as ECW wrestlers, even though I always created my own character patterned after my 13-year-old self.

I own this on both PS and Dreamcast. It looks and runs a lot better on Dreamcast, but the Playstation version allows you to manually change costumes. As a veteran to the Acclaim wrestling games, I found it hard to counter on the Dreamcast versions. Nonetheless, still some great memories playing these games.

ahahaha I remember playing this back in 2000, when Smackdown and Thunder was so hype in Indonesia, But nobody doesnt know about ECW. The wrestlers are underrated (back then I dont know anything about ECW, but as a big fan of wrestling, i still play this game), the controller a bit laggy and so difficult to play, but I love the entrance. Still much better than Smackdown/Smackdown!2
I still play this from time to time another huge let down from acclaim. Having all those new match types was a good idea but the excecuition of them was a joke. The buckets of blood cheat or maybe it was an unlock was hilarious too. Thanks for the vid.
The blood in this game though is ahead of its time I hope they bring back all this brutal awesome blood details like it's on the floor your body your legs your head in the aew games which hopefully end up being an amazing and back in WWE games
also I feel like ECW anarchy rulez's rage in the cage *lions den*, brimstone match *inferno match* and dumpster match were all match ideas from WWF attitude that they didn't follow up on, I could be wrong
Lions den match - the one you didn't know Ecw matches had rules, the ecw title matches did not. Also had a flourishing cruiserweight division that gave Eddie, malenko, Benoit, rey mysterio and jericho their starts before wcw bought their contracts
Yeah gameplay as far as ready moves where always a problem for me. That's why I use Tie-up, Back grapple, Running and Aerial moves as my created Wrestlers' most damaging Maneuvers, especially Finishers
Nikateen, i have watched all your wrestling review videos for quite a while now and most of them, i even watched more than 3 or 4 times, cause you are that entertaining. Like you, i´m a die hard wrestling fan and one of the things i love for most is playing those games, completing them 100%. I know you feel a bit disappointed that you don´t have more subscribers, but you´re one of the top reviewers on youtube. I agree with many of your opinions and i also love your sense of humor. Keep working on it and it would also be great if you continue to review those wrestling games. The old ones you have done it already and they are by far the best games. But we would appreciate to see what do you have to say about the modern games. A top 10 list would also be nice sometime and which ones are your top wrestlers of all time ( yea i understand Scott Hall is number 1). Keep up the great work :)

I've watched wrestling for years and played wrestling games for years but I don't understand when people say when someone's no selling a move what does that even mean
I grew up a bit poor so even at 11 years old I was reading game reviews before asking for a game and I got to dodge this turd in favor of the previous ecw game. I see now I made the right call
Anyway I still loving this game and the reason was the create a wrestler mode...I create a masked tiger and bodzilla a female monster woman... And the game have a jobbers call himself the jester....I simply loved...
I don’t know wtf they did to RVD’s hair on this one. They screwed something up that ended up making his neck look deformed. Probably the biggest star in the company,and they screw up something that noticeable...and it looked fine in the last game. 🤷♂️
Honestly I don't have too many of those because I never liked them much. Was never good at them until Wrestlemania The Arcade. I will definitely give a few of them a go though!

The reason he was getting up so fast is you didn't hit him with a finish that was the dreamer driver his finish is the dreamer ddt . 9/10you hit them with an actual finisher they stay down.
Attitude,HR,and Anarchy Rulz were all copy and paste lol i played them but i hated when you'd go for a single belt but yet they have you competing in tag matches with randoms .
I had this shit for Dreamcast and this shit was an major downgrade from Hardcore Revolution which i had for N64 by this point i was sick of acclaim lame game engine also one of the main things that upset me was for no reason they changed RVD frog splash animation and gave him D'lo Brown Low-down Van Dam finisher in Hardcore Revolution was the best in the game they fucked it up in Anarchy Rulz
Also the gimmick matches this game had mainly the Brimstone&dumpster were dumb as fuck to me ECW Anarchy Rulz is the #3 worst wrestling game of all-time
You forgot to mention how the blood actually hit the ground an stayed and how much the wrestlers bled. Also what about making your created wrestler being bruised, have scars or welts? This was a great game but everybody is bas because they weren’t ECW fans and that’s just being a closed minded fan follower.
