    First saw this in person at a duty free airport shop in Europe. Kept looking at it on-line. When I found it in Macy’s of all places, it was 25% off and I pulled the trigger. I love the case, size and shape and the blue dial is awesome. I bought it on the bracelet and swatch group sold me the blue rubber strap. So easy to swap out with the spring pins. I actually like this piece better than the Patek. While I cannot say what went through the mind of Mr. Genta, it would not surprise me if he took his inspiration for the Argonaut after he saw a Mido TV case. Yes, this watch is that nice and so different from anything else.

    This is hands down the best review I’ve ever seen of this watch.
    You literally read my mind with the lume on the date complication, at least at the 12 pip it would have been really nice to have. That empty space ticks my OCD plus, I’m a lume freak.
    I’d also like to see in future iterations a more subtle dial with the horizontal stripes; like a recessed pattern with less and thicker stripes like the Omega Seamaster Aquaterra.

    Nice review. I just purchased this recently and chose the black dial instead of the the blue or green, although both looked great too. I wanted to be able to mix and match all the bracelets/rubber straps with the dial. Instead of purchasing the OEM rubber straps (around $150 each I think), I purchased from strapsco to try out all 3 rubber straps (orange, blue and green. Cost me around $70 for all 3, still looks great. Thanks for the review once again, loving the watch!

      Yeah!
      I love Mido. I always found them to pack a crazy punch in value, and sometimes you can get older models online for criminal prices
      My first Swiss watch was the Belluna 2 Chronograph; it's 4hz, bi-compax Valjoyx movement with rose gold PVD case, cream dial, awesome croco integrated brown strap with butterfly clasp
      I picked it up new for $500 😆
      Also, Mido is super supportive of this channel; they are good at letting me borrow any watch I want for review, no strings attached
      Any dislike I mention is reported to the team in Switzerland as constructive criticism
      They have also done a lot to help me meet people at Hamilton, Rado, Certina, and Tissot, and I am starting to have access to their watches for review thanks to Mido’s support
      They are a great brand in the US, passionate about their brand, and incredibly supportive even tho they are a small brand in a giant corporate machine that's a swatch group (the entire us team is two guys)
      They are very invested in their product and their customers it's fantastic to see it

    Great video, thank you. I really like how you bring the design back to Mido’s 70 heritage. That important so that people don’t label it a homage watch. I’m on holiday in Europe - Vienna and came across this watch and thinking of buying it. The only hesitancy is the ETA Powermatic movement and its accuracy over time. Should I be concerned about this? Cheers, Dino

    • @LosNTime

      I don’t think so. It would be fantastic if it were COSC, but I think the worst you will get between service intervals will be +10 seconds per day
      Please don’t get me wrong, I think it will do much better than that, but +10 spd as the worst possible option over time is still pretty acceptable, in my opinion

      I can't comment on the long-term experience of owing the watch, as I only had this one for about a week before I returned it
      While I had it, the complication was lovely. I had zero issues with it
      With that said, if you pick one up, you get a two-year warranty that should adress any issue, and if you have to fix it outside of the warranty, the cost is $70, which also gets you another two years
      Swatch has a pretty slick process for getting support, just in case you do have to use it

      Man, I would love to get the Pontos S Diver for review; I will send them a message and see if they let me borrow a review unit
      I’m not super familiar with the watch, but it does look very cool; I like the internal bezel, so that’s something that looks very exciting
      I'm not sure that an apples-to-apples comparison is possible with the TV big date
      The bronze version looks particularly striking to me :)

    150g? does mido market this watch to bodybuilders? jokes aside, like the design. the curvature on the flanks is a big plus.

    • @LosNTime
      @LosNTime  23 дні тому +1

      I didn't find it to be heavy, unless you compare it to a titanium watch like the CW 12. I love the curves of this watch. It is such a great-looking and classy watch

      @@LosNTime I do, it's very wearable and handsome. Runs approx three seconds fast, the double AR coating makes the dial super legible, and the 100m water restistance makes this so much more versatile. Love the dual date apertures and the overall squarishness of the case. I've always been a fan of square watches, and originally wanted a B&R BR5 or a Jaeger Squadra. I'm glad I didn't - this puppy has scratched that itch and then some.
      Really hard-pressed to find any faults. I'm not the biggest fan of butterfly clasps, but this guy fits snug. I suppose I could've lived without the display case, considering this is (apart from the rotor) an undecorated movement. Either way, this watch punches way above its weight.
      I was on the fence until I saw your review. Thanks for diving in deep and help steer the audience in the right direction, and sorry for blabbering on. Enjoy yours!

    • @LosNTime
      @LosNTime  17 днів тому +1

      I could not have articulated it any better than you did. The butterfly clasp doesn't bother me aesthetically, but the watch was a bit tight on my wrist. as well,
      I believe the case size format is the real winner. Hopefully, Mido will release a COSC version of this watch someday so we can enjoy the more decorated movement. Having said that, I'm pleased that the powermatics being utilized for these new complications feature normal escapements rather than the cheaper ones with plastic escapements.
      Congratulations on your outstanding watch, brother. I am truly happy for you!
