I hear you. I lost the love of my life on August 9, 1997. I was 24 she was 27. I was young, immature, emotional, and I ruined the best relationship I've ever had. I miss her so...
Vanessa you learned how fragile love can be. We all learn from mistakes and sometimes can never go back but we all carry special memories with us always. Vanessa you are an authentic person, I respect for speaking the truth of your soul.
"I felt like I was missing something." This is the mentality of EVERY person who destroys their relationships! Satan's most clandestine trick is to appeal to your ego, then get you to mess your life up... ...trying to get something YOU ALREADY HAD!
Forgive yourself, you are still( in my eyes) a beautiful and young woman inside and out. Life has simply been waiting on you to take hold of it again. Love has no limits.
Life is all about choices. We will never know if those choices were for a better life or worse life. We can live with regret, thinking it would have been better. Or, let the regret go. So, let it go. Live life for each day. ❤
Jesus this was disheartening, many years later you are still visibly crushed and regretful. I’m 33 and broke up with the love of my life 6 months ago due to long distance. I’m dying over thinking I made a mistake, there’s no relief.
Vanessa, yes you made a mistake. We all have made them. But deep down, he had issues as well. He couldn't handle the fact of being rejected. If you would have married this man, chances are, you may have lived to regretted it. You did all within your power to win his love and affection back, but to no avail. I praise you for having the courage and the accountability for your action. True love always look for a way to be reconciled.

Losing someone special has happened several times to me over the years, though it was more a case of missed opportunities than needless breakups.
