    I'm only 18 minutes into this video, and it's already the most valuable resource I've found for aspiring SDRs. Despite facing challenges job hunting in a third-world country, I've persisted for months. This video gives me hope, and I'll definitely return to watch the rest. Thank you, guys! 🤝

    Holy cow this is a goldmine! Many thanks to you both for the plethora of information and actionable items for actually breaking into an industry deemed daunting and otherwise impenetrable. It’s a breath of fresh air to realize the hard work going into the field besides typical “day in the life” tech sales videos starting their day with a matcha and ice bath at 5am and then calling it a day a 3pm and on their way to a 250k salary. Much appreciated, and sub’d!

      Thanks so much for the kind words and glad to have you as a part of the community! It is hard work breaking in and a grind at first but you will open up incredible freedom and eventually you will get to that stage of icebath’s and matchas. I’m dropping a rap music video soon that is a bit tongue and cheek to that end lol

      Btw Chris I am preparing for an interview for the position of product marketing at a major semiconductor company in Austria. Do you have any resources on your or any other channel that might be useful in this regard? This would be my first full time job. However, I have done four internships during my university studies, all in four different semiconductor companies. The combined work experience from these internships amounts to two years.

      @Chris.bussing, I assume you took the comment down where I replied to someone that Coursecareers was worth the money, if that’s so, first of all I will unsubscribe from your channel, because you don’t understand that there’s no competition in this industry, yes the Tech industry might be on a mission to help people like you and I succeed financially, but there are people out there putting in the hard work to get people with no sales skills like me a certification to apply to this companies, and if you feel threatened because i mention it here probably because you’re not an affiliate, then shame on you, because in sales your mindset and attitude is what will take you far.

    Hi have you seen older workers enter this industry like 59

    • @chris.bussing
      @chris.bussing  8 місяців тому +1

      I'll admit there are a lot of youngsters but I've seen older workers enter in and they bring a perspective that younger folks don't. I know many older folks that have the fire of a younger person with a broader life experience that can give them a competitive advantage and make them a leader.

    All gate keeper answers if you want something bad enough you'll find a way and no one else can motivate you more than you motivate yourself, you won't let me in the front door I'll sneak in the back window your born with sales ability this cookie cutter image they act like you need to be is once again gate keeping so they feel comfortable ...... hustlers , hustle and nerds, nerd theirs a difference and book knowledge and regurgitating answers won't keep you hitting quotas

    If I were to cold call a company that I applied for, what would be a good pitch and close?

    • @chris.bussing
      @chris.bussing  6 місяців тому

      Hey Tim, this is Levern and I know I’m interrupting your day but I really want to work for you and your company. Do you have 20 seconds for me to tell you three specific reasons why I think I’d be a good fit? Then you can decide if you want to keep talking or not.
      Thank you.
      First off I’ve studied your product and I’m very passionate about it (Insert something specific related to what you like about the product) and that will drive me to be successful.
      Secondly, I am very hungry to learn and coachable and I know that if given the opportunity I would run with it.
      Thirdly, I am not afraid to pick up the phone and make calls and this is proof of that.
      I respect this opportunity and I’m ready to hit the ground running so I’m curious what are the logical next steps to get going in the process?
      You don’t have to be perfect and just showing initiative like this will impress them.
      Cold calling a hiring manager is an opportunity to truly separate yourself from the competition.
      Go get em.

    • @chris.bussing
      @chris.bussing  Рік тому +3

      Ageism is a real challenge in tech. I will
      say at my company in my sales org I’m the youngest member and when I was starting out at Oracle I had an SDR who aligned to me that was about double my age. Although it is tougher when you are older it certainly is possible to land a good role and find a company with a culture that gets that age truly is just a number.
