Hi Gaye, Glad to hear you've tried this layered as a casserole. That's the way I make it. I use the flat tostada crispy shells in my casserole instead of the soft tortillas. I also have used broken /crushed Nacho Cheese Doritos....boy, do they add a lot of flavor! Making it as a casserole is so much quicker than rolling all those enchiladas!
The casserole is so much quicker....same taste. I do a beef casserole with the crisp chips...its so good! They do make a flavor difference!
I was planning to make some of these using a different recipe I found on youtube. These look so good, I will be using this recipe. Thanks so much for sharing this.

Miss Gay, i make chicken enchiladas almost the same way. I use two cans of the green sauce and add one can of cream of chicken soup and then stir in 1/2 cup of sour cream into the sauce. We like these flavor so I will try spreading the sour cream over the enchiladas. 😊

Oh my! These are my very favorite enchiladas-chicken in the sour cream and green sauce!! We are fortunate to have a wonderful Tortilleria close by and I guarantee they make outstanding tortillas. Pick ‘em up on the way home, they are still warm and so delicious they make everything better. If you are in a hurry for the delicious enchiladas, they also sell their homemade salsa verde. Oh my! Oh my! Oh my! Thanks for showing. Yum Now I’m so hungry. 😊

Wished I had seen those on the plate, they look so delicious, you take good care of those grandchildren. Want me to tell you my birthday wish for dinner? It would be a smorgasbord full of all my favorites and it would probably be a mile long, Yesterday was two bathes of grape jelly, found the coolest canning jars, look like grapes, they worked great, Kilner canning jars, never used those before, but I couldn't help myself, they look so cool. If apples come Sunday will do apple jelly next week. And a certain someone did not post a new dessert recipe so I had to make a orange chiffon cake and will make bars of some kind, then of course I made up a new meatball recipe, glad I did, best meatballs I ever made, put in a nice big sauce to go with the manicotti in the freezer, I think that is enough, so happy it is cooler, the oven is a humming.
You are so busy and energetic!!!!!!!! lol.....I am glad for cooler here , too. It was 50 this morning and supposed to be like that for the next week...and 80's n the day. Who knows, though, it might be 105 the next week. Ahhhhhh....Texas! ( and I still love it and am Texas proud) I wish I lived by you. I love italian food.....my absolute favorite!!!!

These enchiladas are sooo good! We make them like this and also some other ways, including using heavy whipping cream. They are so versatile.....and so yummy! I hope your grandson had a wonderful birthday! Take Care and God Bless ❤️

One tiny question, what size cans of sauce and milk did you use? I want to have enough sauce, but don't want to make enough to turn it into soup. Fun video as always 🎂🌹❤
I don't have a can to look at , but, its the ones that are about the size of a campbells soup can. approx 10.5-12 oz Not the 28oz ones
@@ApronstringsGayJordan Great! They have several sizes of both and I was thinking what I used to call a #15 can for the green sauce, but I didn't know if the condensed milk was the tiny one or the same size. Thanks so much! 💜

I really wish I liked sour cream but I just can't stand it! Even the smell of it makes me nauseas!
The only thing I will need for holiday meals is some fresh celery. I wanted to have it prechopped and frozen but I just haven't found any decently priced! I had even wanted to can some celery this year but haven't found any quantity of it locally! Maybe I'll just try growing some myself next season!
I still can't get over the price of stuff. If...and I say IF...I stumble on a good price....I stock up if I have extra money!!!
