Fantastic video. This was error code 43 on my machine. Couple additional notes:
- while this is a relatively easy fix, take your time.
- make sure you buy the correct brushes that go with your washer model number.
- when you pull out the motor brush, notice the angle of the brush so you can replace the new one at the correct angle.
- use a small, flat-head screwdriver to push the copper wire in the spring on the motor brush.
- once repair is done, you may need to reset the error code before operating.
Thanks Paul, Perfect😊
Thank you so much for this video! I was able to do this myself and now the washer works again. 😊 A couple of things from my experience. First the washer and dryer stack had been in the same spot for 7 years or so and when I tried to move them they wouldn't budge. I had seen a tip from another video to put something slippery around the feet and so we had a can of spray olive oil for cooking and I sprayed some of that around the floor of the 3 feet that I could reach and voila! I was able to move it away from the wall no problem without wrenching my back. The next thing that was different from the video was that when I tried to remove the ground wire (the one removed before removing the motor it wouldn't budge and I was afraid of using to much force and breaking it and then looking like a dumb ass when I had to call the appliance guy to fix it. Then I noticed that it is attached to a bracket that is attached to the motor by a torx screw which is the same size as the ones used to hold on the back. Take that out and the whole bracket comes off and problem solved. That screw is a bit longer then the ones that attach the back. The motor came off as described in the video using a flat head screw driver to pry it forward from the back holding thingy after taking out the bolts of course. The next issue different from the video is that the wires going into the modular connector had a plastic tie around them prior to going into the connector. The plastic tie attached them to a bracket on the motor with a plastic tube like thingy that has to come off to get the motor out. The tube has a slot in it and I broke that with a flat head screw driver and then used a box cutter to cut the rest of the tube away and then I could get it detached from the bracket. (Hope it wasn't important LOL). The rest of the job was exactly as described. The old brushes were really short. The one thing that I have learned from doing these home repaiirs with the help of you tube is that appliances are designed now days to need repairs and so they are also designed to make the repairs as easy as possible. So what I have found is that if you are struggling with one of these projects just step back and think about how they might have made it so that it is easy to take apart for what it is worth. Agian thank you for this video.
Wow,
What great info. Thanks so much👍😊

Thank you.
Update: I purchased new Brushes and installed per video and viola all is right with our Bosh again. Thanks!
This Is a good video my problem Is I have a bosch brushless motor Model no WFVCS450UC/29FRONT LOADER AND THE TECH SHEET THAT CAMD WITH THE MACHINE HAS A d.02 code and the sheet doesn't show that code so I'm not sure what It stands for, MY tub turns free with the motor belt on but when you try to go Into diagnostics It fills 1/4 with water and Immediately extracts just great but after pumping water out It goes to the d.02 code I can fix It If I can know what that code means you would think you would find It on that teach sheet buy nothing,
Can you check to make sure that no water has leaked into the drain pan below your washer?
I would also remove the hoses on the back and make sure the water inlet screens are clear of debris.
My motor is 100 series how can I find where the carbon brush is?
My clothes caught the seal and ripped it off mid cycle. I turned off the machine and pull out the clothes put the seal back on but now won't spin and makes a noise when it should spin. Help!
Need help, changed brushes but can't get the F 43 code off. does anyone know the procedure to get rid of the code? is a Bosch Axxis + model
Thanks Tony,
Can you try leaving it unplugged overnight to see if the ram memory inside the controller will reset back to factory specs?
@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance Thanks for your reply, I did do that but it won't come off the code.
Is there a test to tell if the problem is in fact the motor brushes or some other error in the controls?
Hi Bob,
98% chance it’s the motor brushes👍
@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance Hey thanks. Actually it turned out to be a broken wire. But this was on a drain pump a front loader. I had the front off and was looking at the murky laundry water in the tub and thought, "Maybe I can just hotwire that little motor and at least make it pump the water out." So I felt along the back where the wires plug in and one of them was just flapping around. Easy fix. But this is on the drain motor and not the main drive motor for the washing tub. Still good to know about the brushes for the future.
Spin motor is out and the service guy came out, said no signal was getting to the motor and the cost would be $600 to replace the motor, but it sounds just like this. That's not a $600 job! What is the test to see if the motor is dead versus a worn carbon brush?
Was anyone else able to read the model number of the machine?
