- FINALLY getting my Evo III GSR to a 1/8 mile course. Unfortunately the car was not prepared for this at all but still had fun and can't wait to bring it back! Big thanks to @TrackstarMediaworks for the footage!

I would love to see that evo in a track. Like autocross or time attack. You man killed it with the Hyundai, and I loved the videos of the og miata at the autocross.

Dude, loving the drag strip content! Usually not super interested in watching people drag race but you've made it very engaging.
You need to preload the drivetrain to avoid bog. Next time you launch it, slip the clutch on the 2step with your ebrake up and drop it when you are ready to launch, itll preload your drivetrain for a smoother release.

Iv been racing dsms since 2001. I have never pre-loaded the drivetrain. Iv never broke any driveline parts. Using the e-brake to preload is for people who dump the clutch which is absolutly unnecessary.
Its the typical clutch drag issue that early evos get with upgraded clutches.
The fix is to put a 1mm spacer under the clutch fork pivot ball inside the bellhousing.

You should check to see if the master cylinder is adjustable. DSM's have an adjustable throw on the master cylinder and I wouldn't doubt if this was similar. Should be able to fix your clutch disengagement issues with that!

Use your parking brake to preload the car it'll help with saving axles/trans and you'll launch harder

Evan in those cars you have to change to 2nd really fast (short shifting) same for the eclipse and eagle talon too

You gotta adjust the rod on the master cylinder inside the cabin, there’s video on it that Jacks transmission posted, Has the issue on my evo 8 with exedy triple but adjusting the rod fixed it. Hope this helps 🤟🏽

If your master isn't leaking and your pedal throw is good. It sounds like the pedal is adjusted all the way out and you have an extended rod for the slave, then to me you need to shim the fulcrum ball in the bell housing until the fork is sitting a tad to the passenger side from center of the opening being that it is rhd.

I want to take my Evo 3 to the track as well but I also don’t wanna break mine lol. Great runs you had overall though.
Your issues on your evo is call "Clutch Drag". Adjust your clutch pedal engagement point higher. if that doesn't fix it, it means that your clutch is badly warp and need replacement. Fix it before it destroy your syncros.
Absolutely love the Evo!! Only thing that’s an ‘eye sore’ to me, is the amber turn signals on the front headlight assembly. Just looks out of place. Great Video, Ev!

Maybe also look at putting fresh fluid in transmission, transfer case and diff... Just for peace of mind as well...

Posting this again to help with the civic when you take it back, though i did see you apply some of it this time so maybe you already saw 🤷🏻♂️ "Quick tips for staging your car- after the burnout roll into the 1st light only (or half light) from there when both of you are ready you can hold your e-brake up to hold you in place and get on your launch control but play around with it and get used to being on launch control while preloading your drivetrain (this will help alot in saving that transmission/axles as it doesnt shock the drivetrain as much as just dumping the clutch would) lastly once launch DONT dump the clutch, let off of it 60-75% then quickly (but smoothly) let off the rest of the way. After some practice you'll get used to feeling your wheel speed and know more of the timing in slipping the clutch."

My Delorean is having the same issues with the clutch system. I’m told I likely have a leak inside either the slave or master. Both have been replaced in the last 3 years.
