Fixing a MAJOR Problem on My Big Turbo Evo III...

- Decided to make this video just in case anyone else has a similar scenario here. Although the Evo III did have a decent amount of fixes, we found THE issue!

Im glad you made this video, I have an Evo 3 as well and its good to see some tips and tricks since no one else has any info on them on YT.
I’d have all the piping coated with Cerakote and just do black. If you want the polished look and want to keep the pipe from absorbing heat, send it to Jet-Hot and have the classic coating done.

haha welcome to dsm's evan, my GVR4 had the exact same problem and i went through about 4 seals on one of the injectors before it properly sealed. I thought it was everything but the injectors.
Needed this advice, applies to something else ofc but always amazing advice and it’s always something I need to listen to

Dsm 4g owner here… have been fighting a similar issue as well… only my problem was at the top of the injectors because of incorrect o rings… here in south africa, they’re really hard to get a hold of 😭
If you want more tq you just have to have your tuner. Have the peak tq come in later in the rpm

i worked on a friend's car on this injector leak issue..it's a mirage with 4g61.basically same engine as this evo but 1.6 litre ..it's crazy the tunes keeps messing up after couple of runs..changing the seals for new ones fix it but we just used same type o-ring like u originally had on that injector(the thin one) i think it originally came with those..evo 5-9 came with those thicker oilseals type seals

I bought the same kit for my Evo I 2 years ago and the same thing happened, ended up doing custom piping with shorter routing

As a 2g dsm 4g63 owner. Those are not the correct seals for those injectors. They're thick.
Maybe make any ''drive'' videos? going to use your cars in general,take them to the track,drifting,something? just a suggestion..

the hot side is the turbo manifold and downpipe, the cold side is everything from your charge pipe to your throttle body. come on
