The part about Micheal Jordan and Micheal Jackson got me to think about my own father and how he has had to carry all the pain he went through from childhood to adulthood for 52 years all by himself. It's not my place to tell his story so I'm not gonna be too detailed, but I do wanna ask that you help me pray for him, my heart just really hurts seeing him like this. I'm not bold enough to ever make a prayer request, but I ask that you pray for healing over our household. God bless you guys and thank you for opening up these hidden conversations that the Holy Spirit needs us to talk about. ❤
That part of about the doctor… that hit me… when I applied for medical school I was discouraged because I sang praise and worship. And I would owe too much debt. And it came back around and now I’m a doctor and still do praise and worship at my church. Let God use you in your profession to worship Him and draw people to Him… that was a good!!!
I would prefer a doctor that prays and seeks the Lord about my health . Believers, with the mind of Christ, Jesus’ worldview thoughts and love. should also saturate the market place.

I had no idea Michelle was this HILARIOUS. She is light. & I've honestly never paid much attention to her personal life & learning about her spiritual journey has been enlightening. I continue to learn, there's no limitations to how God can use us for His glory
You never truly know a person that you really don't know. (You feel me). A deacon from my church was sitting behind me 3 rows at a track meet. I was yelling at the top of my lungs. Jumping up and down. He told my sister. I did not know your sister was that loud. LOL! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
My life is literally being transformed in the Basement.
Having grown up in church, there were people who mentored me (to varying degrees) but no one ever got down to the nitty-gritty of real life the way that the Basement has. It has changed the way I view discipleship and the way I live. Look forward to every new podcast 🙌
Which is how you know the Spirit of God is truly moving through and all over this podcast. It's undeniable! May God bless you sis. I met Michelle when I was about 9 years old when she was doing press for her first album. She was so kind and I could tell she was sooo genuine and sweet. I’ve loved her even before that. This conversation was so good, so needed. I’m so proud that she’s created a space for believers to be okay with acknowledging mental health! 💛👏🏾

Thank you so much for talking real talk about using creative talents outside the church. Since I was 6 years old I've created stories and when I was a teen I had youth leaders at my church tell me that since I enjoy writing stories I NEED to write "Christian stories" or that I would be a great preacher cuz I could write great sermons...the reality is that I've created amazing fantasy and sci-fi worlds in my mind over that past 30 years and I've not written a single word because of the influence of the folks from my church telling me that if I was truly meant to write stories they would be about God...I never knew that it wasn't my job to make my talents fit into a Godly box and that God would use the talents he gave me in the ways He gave them to me to work for His purpose. Thank you again.

I NEED THIS PODCAST. I found Tim because of this Podcast. I have been thinking that gods not listening to me or not with me because I don't fit in . so when Michelle said that " your trying to fit in where I didn't put you" that hit so hard. that is me.

Wooooooooow!!!! This is so freaking good. I grew up just like this in church. Crazy how we only secularized music and nothing else. There’s so many things being shared in this episode which is helping break the religious doctrine which shaped my mind growing up. There’s a new level of spiritual freedom I’m discovering and surprisingly I’ve found it in the basement. 🤟🏾

I visited Embassy City Church 9/4 11am service. I can’t express how much the service was for me. So many issues has bombard my life. Yet, I pray and stay humble. This season in my life, is teaching me to speak less and listen more. So, thank you. I’ve become a basement dweller. Learning to be patient, find understanding, and focus on being a better me.
God knew that my foundation needed work and I’m here for it!!! Praying that you continue to do what God is instructing you to do. It was so need it. Thank you 😊.

I’m 47 years old and obtained my class A license in August 2022. I’m driving delivering product in Southern California and enjoy listening and getting fed the word of God with you and your guests. You are impacting my life in so many areas. This season of my life God has been using me or I guess I should say I’ve allowed Him to use me in ways I don’t feel worthy of. Michelle talked about leaving home and going to a different church. She helped me to understand that I need to "GO" to church. Go to the church that will pour into me, even if that means leaving where you are and traveling to a different place to receive what God has for you. Thanks again. 🙏🏾

I watched this episode over a few days. In the first half of the episode, question about impact and influence came up. During the interval, I read a bit of Oral Robert's comment on another book. In reading it, I actually saw what I thought to share with you here about the difference between impact and influence. His comment was about he believed that the longer Robert Liardon kept obeying God, reading the Word, being with God-the more impact he would have in the lives of thousands.
Here it sounds that impact is what God can give you when your character is in check.
Influence, is what a person has when they're popular.
It’s clear the Holy Spirit guides the conversations on your show! That’s why I can’t wait to listen in each episode it’s so intriguing to see where God steers the focus!

Not acknowledging pain to seem grateful is so heartbreaking BUT for many like myself it true. "It could be worst" always hangs over my head.
I stumbled on here late at night and as I step Into my purpose -- I now accept that I will never be boxed in and that God will continue to show up in my life. I used to want to fit in until I woke up - this was 10 yrs ago. Now I know why. Pastor Tim and Michelle-- rocked this podcast. Thank you Jesus, in Jesus name. Amen.
