I'm very sound sensitive, I can recognize or differentiate all kinds of things that we hear everyday, even the most subtle. It is amusing when I am watching someone do a video of a Beetle, and I can be in the other room getting a drink and by the sounds I hear I can tell you've got the steering column apart.

Hi VWJ! I haven't commented on your videos lately because I only have time to watch while I'm at work on breaks and lunch or whatever. The reason I've not been able to comment is because work added a feature to their Internet security and we aren't able to view it comment on videos in UA-cam. I can watch apparently anything I want but I just can't comment. so I'm on my phone right now and I apologize for errors if any.
I like what you're doing with the wiring. I'm a purist and I agree that it was designed to be used with the ignition so therefore it shouldn't be an issue.
I also agree that it's your car. you build it the way you want and at least for me I'll respect you for it. I'm also an electronics mechanic and I enjoy the tidiness you're putting into the wiring. all the zip ties may seem odd but it makes a big difference in the end. it tells me you care about your work.
You seem like a good guy VWJ. I hope to actually get to shake your hand one day. keep up the great content. love ya, love your channel!

Thank you as always for your input and honesty. On this project, it would have cost more than it was worth, to me, to put the wiring back to factory…. Especially since I have this aftermarket “harness” and wire at hand. It’ll all make sense in the end and have a diagram to follow as well.

This stuff I used it on a fuze box like this .give it a little blast to wet it and then wait a minute then blast it and the nasty brass connections came out perfectly clean and shined . it had some sort of lube with it and worked for 6-7 years . I should had gone out there and got a case of it .

So far the 48 buck china universal wiring harness/fuse panel is working great. I of course had to wire everything from the switches out but glad it's done.
