🎄 I wonder about the blow in insulation. It’s in my airspace above my ceiling. Is this even safe? And what is the cost of having it removed? I feel at this point when I’m up in the space looking around I couldn’t tell if there were any leaks anywhere and I can’t really lift it up and look underneath it because it’s just all particles everywhere.
I have some insulation material.. one side is shiny & the other kinda has a yellow cotton candy like 3 inch soft material. Would this be good for a dog’s house? My neighbors dogs are outdoor only pets & they both suffer in the cold. The owner only provides them with food. Any advice?
It sounds like the insulation could help keep the dogs warmer, but we'd recommend finding out exactly what type of material it is or consulting with a professional to make sure it’s safe for animals. Some materials, like fiberglass or certain foams, can be harmful if chewed or ingested. We also have a video on how to make a dog house that is protective for cold elements if you would like to learn more, linked here: ua-cam.com/video/b-wM9XWdDFY/v-deo.html.
Why didn't you install a vapor barrier sheathing over the insulation before you drywalled it up? You may be encouraging mold in climates with four seasons like pennsylvania, which can get pretty humid in summer.
Overhyped and too expensive. Fiberglass is cheaper and works better in most situations. Before the keyboard warriors start I have over 20 years in the business.
@@danger1240is it possible to apply both on walls ? I mean a quick spray of blow insulation and then to put a layer of fiberglass on it or vice versa ?
Thanks for sharing.

Trying to think whats best for FL walls with windows, i currently have R5, but, I'm wondering if R15 is better?
Yes, r15 is better than r5

I don't disagree, but The faced insulation is a vapor barrier in itself
How to I replace a support board that is sitting on rotten wood attached to the foundation?
Where’s the love for mineral wool?

@@danger1240you are correct. But having years of experience doesnt always translate into a person being knowledgeable and proficient.

I will never ever use blow insulation.
