    What is the best way to get tested for mitochondrial dysfunction?

    • @DavidRWood
      @DavidRWood 13 днів тому +1

      It's not easily tested at all, even in the lab, but that's not really the point. The idea is to do things which would improve it and see what happens. Essentially that's likely to be lifestyle things for most people.

    Are trans fats …seed oils ?
    Like sunflower canola blended vegetable oils?
    Are seeds damaging if consumed ? Like flax pumpkin seed crackers (just crushed and water added, and baked in oven.)

      Until recently trans fats were allowed to be added to seed oils. It made them more stable and less likely to self combust.
      Seed oils are ultra processed and factory - produced oils that are extracted from seeds and should not be eaten. They have been bleached and chemicals have been added to take away their unpleasant odours. Just use lard, tallow, bacon fat, butter, olive oil , coconut oil or avocado oil . The seeds themselves are fine.

      @@MarilynRoper-ob1nj Thank you very much for this.
      I only use animal fats for cooking but occasionally make flax seed crackers.

      You’re welcome! Sounds like you are being good to your mitochondria. I’m sure Dr Palmer would approve. 😊 A doctor I follow suggests that we eat flax seeds daily . Especially good for estrogen dominance.
