- Finally finished the run-in of my 227cc big bore Hero XPulse 200 BS-6 build and now, I can at last open the throttle to my heart’s content.
In this video, I bring to you a live review vlog of my XPulse 230 (as I like to call it) on my local trails. This is sort of a first ride since my bike has finished its running in and I am riding it exactly where it will be spending most of its time.
I am very happy to report that it is performing just like how I wanted it to - peppy, with a lot of mid-range grunt.

Riding in sand is really tough, you hold the hand too tight, it will throw you off the bike, and to lose you will fall off it😅
And true, the Action cam flattens the things, I still remember once we climbed 60+ degree on a slippery surface around 8-9ft and dropped our motorcycle a couple of times and that footage looked like it was a 2ft high climb.
Hahahaha. Yeah man, looks so disappointing when reviewing footage.

I would like to to understand how it felt in the higher revs, did it improve the highway cruising speed? I guess yudhvir's bike might be the right test for that, since yours is spec'd out for offroad.

@@rns468 Yaar, that bloody Hero 5 Sessions of mine kept shutting. Also, I forgot it with Yudhvir today. Will see if it recorded anything at all and maybe post a clip on Instagram or something.
Your mods are impressive. If you haven't you can consider an iridium spark plug, a high performance spark plug cable / attaching a ferrite bead in the spark plug cable, also a synthetic engine oil.
I am running NMW ignition coil and Motul 300 V2 engine oil.

Thank you for this video, and the explanation on the maps, I was missing this info and did not get it from NMW. Last week I installed the coil and ECU in combo with freeflow exhaust and K&N airfilter. Do you have some performance filter installed?

Hey Abhinav, thankyou for coming up with informative videos, specially on xpulse200. Just wanted to inquire about the feel of clutch after changing the clutch springs, whether the clutch becomes lighter or it becomes hard in comparison to stock?
Just slightly harder than stock. But not hard enough to become a problem.

How are tyres onroad?
Hi Abhi, I think i have busted the piston rings on my BS6 xpulse. When i ride hard, at times i see a lot of whitish smoke from the exhaust. last weekend, at an offroad trail, took a few falls and rode a bit hard. next morning there was a small pool of oil from the air filter housing, i guess excessive crank case pressure. Even the performance feels a tad bit slower. So i am assuming the pistons have gone/partial seizure.If i have to change piston and cylinder, Was contemplating the NMW big bore kit. May be add the 40T karizma sprocket at the back and at max high lift cams. not too sure on the juice box, exhaust and 6 spring clutch. What do you think from your experience. We all know xpulse if a great bike except the engine/power.. So the intent was to improve on that.. DO share your thoughts. Thanks. !! :)

Does this kit give efficiency in our engine? Our models do not have oil cooling.
Hi sir. By efficiency, do you mean it increases fuel range? If so, it does not. It reduces it. Also, the engine now runs slightly hot.
Are u using the same 10w30 grade recommended engine oil for this big bore engine or a thicker engine oil?
I am not sure of the grade that I am using. But it is fully synthetic Motul 300 V2.

Hi I'm from Peru. How can I increase the displacement of the Xpulse without buying the rally kit? Do you sell any cylinder head or device authorized by the brand that allows me to increase a little displacement and give more power to my motorcycle? Is it possible to put an oil radiator on an Xpulse BS4?
Hello. You don't have to buy the rally kit to increase displacement. The rally kit has nothing to do with the engine.
If you want to buy a big bore kit, contact NMW Racing on their website and see if they ship internationally.
Also, sorry, but I do not know if an oil cooler can be added.
Does it affect on mileage
Does Yidhvir's bike has both front and rear shock absorbers changed? Also how tall is he? I'm 5'7 with a lower inseam so checking.
Yeah. Rally suspension at both ends. He is 5'7 too. You just have to let go of the idea that you need to flat foot a bike. And just ride a tall bike. It will always give you better control.

@abhinav Many experts say that the Honda CB 350 gearing issue could be fixed by using a slightly larger rear sprocket. What do you think? I am willing to compromise the top speed.
Yeah. Go with a two or three teeth larger rear sprocket.

Abhi...the amount of work you have done on your bike is quite commendable...and quite a list...
If I may ask....did you use your bike in stock form enough before started the list of upgrades..what I mean to say is it advisable to use the stock bike hone your skills, learn about your bike than do upgrades as per need or load up bike first and gradually up skill yourself.. take example of Yudhvir, his bike is almost stock, still he is keeping up pace with your bike..
See, I always had the rally kit in mind when deciding to buy my bike. So I haven't ridden the stock bike much. Best would it be to do it gradually. First get the stock bike. Try it out. Gain confidence. Then one by one keep making tweaks according to your needs. That's the best way to learn. Yudhvir is just a much better rider.

Piston wore out in 10k km.
It’s one of the best xpulse I have ever seen and also there is lot of hard work done to it. So my question after all these mods “kitna deti hai “. I know no one measure mileage on off road bike but I still felt like asking.
I haven't run it on a tankful yet since I like keeping less fuel for less weight on trails. Will let you know once I check.

I do love my Apache with my whole heart but sometimes when I see Xpulses around I just wonder with modifying capabilities of xpulse that's all
They are very different bikes. Don't worry, enjoy what you have now.

Place your mic in front of your mouth in the helmet. That's all I do.
@@abhinavbhatt thanks for the tip, but the sound is not good, it sounds like I am speaking in a closed container. The clarity is not there. Maybe it's due to the helmet I am using. Can you just tell me which helmet you are using?
I use a Nexx XD2 but I get similar audio in my other helmets too. Shoei RF1200, Arai RX7 etc.
