Really like the final line when he says "You should thank me. Your death means your fathers life!" before the battle begins. Even if you think hes an annoying villain when you reach this point in the game, you still cant deny the fact that the game had an overall great story.
I feel for Seymour in a way. An outcast from the start only respected because he was a maester. His mom offed herself to give him power. All downhill from there.
While the fight was not particularly hard and Seymour was more an annoying brat than a super-villain, the way they presented this battle both with the music theme and the visual setup made it exceptionally epic.
That voice! Perfect. Seymour is such an interesting villain. Not even a name I would pick, but it somehow just works so well. I love the romantic crossfade from a well mannered political leader to a manic, genocidal psychopath.
Dude, I hated that fight soooooo much. Went into this fight expecting even worse. Took me like, 5 minutes to beat this form. Plus, my HP was above 5000 and I pieced his element wheels together immediately. Should've saved his Gagazet from for last.
The battle theme for this fight is, and will always be the best on any final fantasy in my opinion, I think the original is better but I still think the HD remix is brilliant, Idk why people have such a problem with it
Thanks for uploading this! I did a lot of late game farming and when I got here I overkilled him 99999 with Auron in one attack. Didn't get to hear the song or see how the fight was supposed to go lol.
This is one of the easiest fights in game when you realise it, because of the elemental thing behind him, you already know which elemental attack he will cast, and thus, you use NulBlaze/NulWhateverElement/NulAll and take no damage. Or you can just chain summon of course, or abuse Rikku. I love this fights music and visuals.
David McGee Yea and you can just turn one of the dials with wakka and have him cast the exact same spell on all of your party members only once and with nulblaze, you can never die. I do not know why i had so much trouble killing him
Cast shell and reflect on your whole party, you can equip your party with elemental ward equipment or you can have rikku mix ultra nulall/hyper mighty guard if you're not confident about your party's level. There are quite a few ways to kill him, he's not that hard.
It was a little painful to watch you pass right by the "NulBlaze" spell going through Yuna's White Magic command so many times. Other than that, nice job pulling it out. :D
By far the EASIEST Boss battle he offered. I swear Flux AND Alta were harder than this form. All i did was just have Lulu and Yuna Blizzaga the FUCK outta him then took him with Tidus' blitz ace with a Ice Brand and DMG limit break. He became my bitch in like 6 moves.
I don't know with you guys, but instead of defeating that 'dude' I just moved my head back and forward cuz the music theme just AWESOME!!!!! Same with original one.
this game is great but end game is so easy, once you reach this part it's a breeze, except behemoth king and king malboro, that's some busted rage inducing shit
I love how if you use Anima's Oblivion in the HD remaster/old international version with the shortened animation, the damage shows all at once so you can do like 150000 damage if you beef Anima up
When I played this , I equipped Lulu with an armor called fire eater, so whenever Seymour used firaga on her. Lulu's health would increase instead of decrease
I always think about how anticlimactic this battle is if you simply spend an extra 5 hours getting a couple of the easier ultimate weapons in this game. I got them for Tidus, Yuna, and Auron, and I beat this boss in 5 hits.
I'm not quite sure why people hate the remastered sound track. I've heard someone say it's the guitar; I genuinely find the remastered tracks to be pretty good, although I prefer the distant worlds version of Seymour's theme.
It's probably their nostalgia making them viciously hate it. Honestly I think the HD music is generally a LOT better because PS2 version used weird MIDI sounding stuff
perkypears I like most the stuff better but I prefer the old via infinito. Still you are only there for a brief period so I think it’s a good trade off
I've never actually had my Yuna summon Anima (seymour's aeaon) during the final seymour battle. It was cool how when she did he said "you will oppose as well? so be it". Does he say that to any aeons she summons or just Anima? That was awesome!
Wow amazing. Fight starts --> Rikku Trio of 9999 popped --> mental break on seymour --> his turn he out of nowhere gets 2 turns(Checked the turn line and I was after him!) casting 8 firaga on me obliberating my party. Thanks Hiroyuki. :/
i've always felt that Seymour's battle AI here was set to "cause the less effective amount of damage possible" or something. Like, just torture them for fun? Even his Ultima is a special "watered-down" version of the game's normal Ultima spell. He always casts the first three spells on everyone in a row, then seems to choose the 4th target at random. At the beginning here, it would have made sense to use it on Tidus to finish him off, but no, he chooses Kimahri, who survives it the best. In all of my playthroughs, he always seems to pick the target that makes the less sense. But his Flux form on Mt Gagazet, however... :P
I thought this fight will be hard at first, but it was easier and less troublesome than Yunalesca.. For me, i get Victorious armor for Rikku and it gave me a very big advantage, along with Lulu with Doublecast, get Auron to do Mental Break and get Yuna for healing when necessary~
I haven't gotten this far yet but my party's leveled even higher already and I have Lulu's celestial weapon powered all the way up(Break Damage Limit) with the others on the way. He's going to get shit on.
I had a powerful party when i went up against him so all the Firagas Blizzagas Thundagas and Watergas he threw at me did minimum damage and in the end i whooped him with Holy and Ultima.
Seymour should have been the final battle of the entire game. He lost so much value as an antagonist by not being the final fight. The group has a lot of history with him throughout the game. He's a much more meaningful enemy for that reason. Here's how I would have written it. Seymour is only pyreflies at this point so Yu Yevon would have just assimilated him into Sin if he tried to take on Yu Yevon. So he manipulated the party into taking out Yu Yevon for him. And then the final fight begins.
Last time I played this game I was doing everything the strategy guide said to in the game so by the time I got to this fight my party was so overpowered that I had him beaten in probably 60 seconds and I didn't get to enjoy one of the best songs in the game :(
Tidas: I cannot even look at Seymour, this dude is just the worst. You are not a real person. Seymour: Gaze into my bellydress, and behold as I will download Sin directly with the wi-fi antlers on my head! Tidas: Dude... Seymour: You should thank me! Your death means your father's life! Now...JELLYFISH MODE! WUB WUB! Tidas: I can't do this. Wakka: The guado went into full speed to help this dude cover his shit up, ya? Seymour: I killed mah Pappy with the stabby stab! Let's get married. I inject heroine into my face and I get free HBO!
I feel like the best way to beat him is with Anima. It's almost like letting her soul rest in peace for the guilt she feels for making Seymour this way.
I remember this battle well because I came to this after training to take on the dark aeons. I took Seymour out with one fell swoop, one single hit from Yuna's celestial weapon :| Safe to say I reloaded as I needed the AP but I wish I'd experienced the challenge
Yuna and Lulu could absorb every element, they didnt take any dmg from his attacks. Under leveled, could get one shot but since his only non-elemental attack was Ultima I just had to call an aeon to tank it.
Watching this makes me realize that I pretty much have no idea what I'm doing when playing this. That or I focus way too much on using Auron rather than Lulu or Yuna. :/
Loven Tidus Thanks, but already beat him, the cheap way. As in, I equipped my party items that are immune to elemental damage. Asshole thought he could pull one on me with his multi elemental attacks. XD
Same here. I feel with this FF you need to know your battle strategy and tactics well. It's not just a case of FF8 Limit Breaking everything, or FF7 KOTR for example.
My only strategy in this battle was to use Yuna's NUL-Spell, Lulu with a spell that is deals damage in the actual Seymour elemental type and Tidus with Haste.
You can just tell that the voice actor for Seymour was having fun with his character
I'm very disappointed Alex Fernandez never became popular.
That “by all means, try!” was funky.
always enjoyed beating him with Anima. I was always like.
"Seymour!!!!!!! You're Mother wants to talk to you!!!!!!"
Your life must be fun.
Best comment!!! 😁😂
+Uri Mercury lol
Its like his mother is Kenshiro! ATATATATATATATATATAWATAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
seymour has a gay voice
Seymour: by all means, try!
Yuna: *summons yojimbo and gives him all her Gil *
Seymour: OH FU-
this happened to me. I gave him 2000 gil
Really like the final line when he says "You should thank me. Your death means your fathers life!" before the battle begins. Even if you think hes an annoying villain when you reach this point in the game, you still cant deny the fact that the game had an overall great story.
I love how deranged he sounds when he says „By all means, TRY!“
My favorite quote of his!
Tidus's first sentence is what everybody was thinking at this point
Damn right 😂
😂
I feel for Seymour in a way. An outcast from the start only respected because he was a maester. His mom offed herself to give him power. All downhill from there.
"Seymour! The house is on fire!"
"You would oppose me as well? So be it."
While the fight was not particularly hard and Seymour was more an annoying brat than a super-villain, the way they presented this battle both with the music theme and the visual setup made it exceptionally epic.
I was way overleveled for this. i beat him in 2 minutes, turned off the game and said, "wasnt satisfying enough, Im kicking your ass again"
SolidSlish lol me too. Killed him in 2 minutes and did the same thing. Turned it off and repeated it three times till I was satisfied xD
I beat him and then was immediately ambushed by a greater Malboro so had to kill again anyway lol
Lol
That voice! Perfect.
Seymour is such an interesting villain. Not even a name I would pick, but it somehow just works so well. I love the romantic crossfade from a well mannered political leader to a manic, genocidal psychopath.
Propably the easiest boss in the game. Always feels good to totally wreck him after the Mt. Gagazet battle, which was 100x harder...
Dude, I hated that fight soooooo much. Went into this fight expecting even worse. Took me like, 5 minutes to beat this form. Plus, my HP was above 5000 and I pieced his element wheels together immediately. Should've saved his Gagazet from for last.
Real shit
No kidding. This was actually a breath of fresh air after that fight.
Well now I feel dumb for getting exploded by him
Wait, it's easier than Seymour flux? Wow!
At 4:27 the music kicks in to the best part of the song as the anchor comes down to pull Anima from oblivion.. Powerful
Kirk Hunter ... And again at 9:07 with the Magus Sisters summon.
It makes the summons extra hype
A game shouldn't be about hype, it should be about good gameplay. And this doesn't. Ff9 was a million times better.
123TauruZ321 personally i like games for story more most of the time. and i thought this game had an interesting story
There's no game like this one, the closest thing to perfection
The battle theme for this fight is, and will always be the best on any final fantasy in my opinion, I think the original is better but I still think the HD remix is brilliant, Idk why people have such a problem with it
Love this music so much. Always wondered what the pope’s boss battle music would sound like!
The only thing this theme was missing was the chorus at the beginning ...
If it had that, it would have been perfect.
Grand Priest It's missing some instrument from the original theme
Thanks for uploading this! I did a lot of late game farming and when I got here I overkilled him 99999 with Auron in one attack. Didn't get to hear the song or see how the fight was supposed to go lol.
i like how he reacts when anima is summoned 😂😂😂.
He obliterated the fuck out of me
It was like
Seymour: Firaga, Firaga , Firaga, Firaga, Dispel, Ultima
Game over
Me: O_o
lol seymour flux is most difficult
This is one of the easiest fights in game when you realise it, because of the elemental thing behind him, you already know which elemental attack he will cast, and thus, you use NulBlaze/NulWhateverElement/NulAll and take no damage.

DamoclesseEmpire
For some reason he only spammed firaga on me... my two black mages made short work of him with doublecast + blizzaga.
It was a little painful to watch you pass right by the "NulBlaze" spell going through Yuna's White Magic command so many times. Other than that, nice job pulling it out. :D
I think they're just trying to show a bit of the battle. He could've killed him with a couple of overdrives but they didn't.
Plus he had only base stats, whereas by this point I’ve already mastered two-to-three sphere paths for characters
I always like using Anima on this fight, time for Mommy dearest to give her son an ass whooping thats been long overdue.
Seymour is the TRUE villain of Final Fantasy X. Let’s be real.
Well, he's the ONLY real villain. Let's be real. Yu Yevon? Nah.
BTW Seymour is still a great character, it's a shame he never reached Dissidia
seymour fits alll the tropes of a normal ff villain. but yu yevon is sill the main villain.
@@megamike15 Yu Yevon really isn't a "villain". All he/it knows now is to summon for eternity. Yu Yevon has no ambitions, motives, or emotions.
Cloister of trials is the real villan, god how i hate em
No the real villain is the blue butterflys
One of the best boss themes in the whole game besides Lord Braska's Final Aeon.
I got a trophy for this by defeating a sand wolf in bikanel desert 🤣 I haven’t even faced Seymour omnis yet... what a glitch but hey I’ll take it 😂
By far the EASIEST Boss battle he offered. I swear Flux AND Alta were harder than this form. All i did was just have Lulu and Yuna Blizzaga the FUCK outta him then took him with Tidus' blitz ace with a Ice Brand and DMG limit break. He became my bitch in like 6 moves.
Seymour got punished by his mom in worst way
Is crazy how his first two forms were hard but this was stupid easy when I heard the soundtrack I was like man this finna be a fight
Seymour has some of the best lines especially before the battle.
I love the music in this fight.
Lol using Anima on Seymour is pretty fucked up.
HashBandicoot I think it's rather poetic
I remember getting perfect on Wakka's Attack Reels with his Celestial Weapon and just destroying Seymour Omnis. Take that, brudda!
So much easier than Yunalesca!
yunalesca is a 5m fight
+Mr. Gabe what makes Yunalesca is the most pain in the ass is the unskipable never ending cutscene -_- But yeah she's hard too
Idk how but I beat Yunalesca on first try
The Yunalesca fight is not bad if you're smart and patient with her like I was. I budgeted AT LEAST an hour, including cutscenes, for her fight.
Yeah you are op by this point
That voice though HOLY SHIT you can tell he had evil intentions "You would oppose me as well ? so be it " gives me chills ...
Damm, using the magus sisters was really overkill
"Your death means your father's life!"
"You should thank me" 🤣
I don't know with you guys, but instead of defeating that 'dude' I just moved my head back and forward cuz the music theme just AWESOME!!!!! Same with original one.
I really wish they would've buffed him in the remaster. I mean, at least 10,000 more HP.
+pdiddyrocks101 along with better graphics and greatly improved music...
meh i prefer most of the original's music. May just be nostalgia poisoning though...
Some abilities were rebalanced though...
@@bers6014 Most of the music is better. Challenge is worse to me.
Omega Weapon was buffed
The true main villain of the game.
what a damn fine voice he has👌
Only epic thing about this battle is the soundtrack.
It's a shame how easy Seymour is...
He was hard as fuck the third you battle him
Yea I forgot this battle got it's own soundtrack.
Shadow Offspring it’s the party’s battle theme. At this point you are the boss battle for Seymour due to how strong you have become.
@@ultimaterecoil1136 it’s,,not??
GOOD LORD, ARE THE SISTERS OVER POWERED OR WHAT
they have always been
Ah yes. FFX's Knights of the Round.
They are an optional summon designed for optional content.
If you can outlast the cutscene
Ah yes the reason no sphere grid dank anima is possible
this game is great but end game is so easy, once you reach this part it's a breeze, except behemoth king and king malboro, that's some busted rage inducing shit
“BY ALL MEANS, TRY!” I love ❤️ it!
Knowing the lines word for word is LEGENDARYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
"But there is no salvation for the dammed. Rest in peace in eternal darkness."
I love how if you use Anima's Oblivion in the HD remaster/old international version with the shortened animation, the damage shows all at once so you can do like 150000 damage if you beef Anima up

Compression was necessary for the time, yeah
They know they can change the games soundtrack in the configure menu, right?
@@perkypears: Nah it sucks, the original orchestral and electronic music were well composed, the HD music sounds overly synthesized.

Just got celestial weapon before this fight

Had already started stat maxing at this point in the game and had 255 strength when I fought him, only took like 2-3 turns
This could be one of the best songs in Final Fantasy history
I need that background battle without semyour, HUB and all characters for my phone because it made me very serenity
Seymour: Nothing Can Stop Us!
Me: *Casts* *Hastega* *Uses* *Quick Attack*
The Fight With Seymour is my favorite Boss battle song track! 😍
By all means try! I love how progressive a bad guy Seymour is. Just honest

I didn't think the music for this fight could get any better. I was proven wrong.
Look for Seymore Battle Dual Mix. It's a mix of the old and new somone did.
There's just so many ways to weaken this boss. Nul spells; Shell; the intended mechanic with the element changes; Mental Break...
Seymour laughs without opening his mouth.
It would have been nice if he had a unique attack as well as just spamming magic but ah well
Such a pushover of a boss doesnt deserve this kind of music.
Magus are like hacks in this game. Easiest way to kill any boss (except Dark Aeons, logically xD)
armor break works well dude...make sure you use it before oblivion
Lol
Easy way to beat Seymour is to use Auron's overdrive and then have everybody use their overdriver and then use 1 of 3 most powerful aeons.
The starting of the battle animation haze thing, best part of the vid and music :)
Seymour Flux was harder than Omnis to me
CJ2KALLDAY The last battle should have been the hardest, but I guess Seymour was supposed to be a joke by this point in the game.
Men, the ost is just perfect.
I grinded a lot and one hit all of these final bosses 😂
I don't even remember this lol. Been a minute since I played ff10 but I got all the celestial weapons so I had no problem beating anything.
For this battle I spoiled Holy and Ultima (Rikku, Yuna and Lulu)+ Auron. I didn't use any summon nor Tidus (he was the weaker of my party)
I watched the fight in Japanese, and I just on't understand how Seymour's voice is so different between both versions
Epic theme music, very easy fight.
you know you just need to attack those circles and mess them up to stop him getting 4 firagas per turn.
"I have A00oll the tyiyme in the woO0ºrld!"

The taste of your own medicine Seymour Omnis
Love watching your videos.
What the fuck is with Seymour's hair? Seriously, FF characters have some *seriously* bad hair days.
Lycanthromancer he is a half breed guado. they all have that kind of hair. seymour has it mild compared to his father.
im here because i defeated him with 2 hits, lol. and i wanted to know what he does in the battle xd
