Used to watch this every Friday Night after the WWF Wrestling in the mid to late 90s. Introduced me to so many bands that I would have never heard of otherwise. RIP Tommy, forever missed.
So did I and before that in my teens listened to Tommy’s Friday Rock Show on Radio 1 and then Alan Fluff Freeman on Saturdays. I dread to think what’s on Radio 1 today! Tommy was brilliant as I felt he was in the room with me.
It was a great time to be a teenager. Tommy on Fridays and Fluff on Saturdays. I discovered so many bands from these shows in Radio 1 as they played such a crazy range of rock music, from mellow prog to thrash which was new on the scene.
Oh how I miss his voice. Just came here to take a trip back memory lane
Tommy Vance had one of THE voices on radio. An absolute star and sadly missed.
Tommy on a Friday and Fluff, not harf, on Saturday. Tommy wasn't only a brilliant DJ and presenter he had so much respect with the fans and musicians.
The voice of Friday night’s 🤘
He was that! 🎸

What a beautiful time in music. I had such a pang of nostalgia watching this.
Nobody did it like TV on the radio. Friday nights on Radio 1 and Saturday's with Fluff "Nod harf"
@@loftlegacyit's not arf
Tommy Vance and Rock Salad. The show that defined my growing years and my taste in music
Same here, TV on the radio Friday then Fluff on Saturdays….”nod harf”
halcyon days of music---so varied
@@williamblythe5152 as his friend Fluff would say to agree “nod harf”
