This is why I love women in traditionally masculine industries. I felt that the architect gave the interior designers the kudos that they deserved and vice-versa which recognizes that it takes a team to create these stunning homes. It's not often in these videos that we see such a nod to the team. Rightfully so, because the materiality of this house is absolutely stunning.
It's only 'traditionally masculine industries' because they keep it so, not because women aren't capable or don't want to have careers within it. But yeah, changes have come but too slowly for some.
@@kanorcubes329 Not 'taking over' - just demanding their due. And it is never as 'convenient' or easy as you may think. There are always obstacles of one kind or another in their way.
Simple, robust, restraint… the architect really bring both the nostalgia and character of the old and new seamlessly. No ego. The hero of course is that magnificent garden.. what joy. The music is always on point. Proud of our Australian talent.
The homes on Local Project are always fabulous, but that moon framed from the shower!!! If you can hear me screaming? Stunningly jaw dropping incredible. . . There aren’t enough superlatives. The garden room and Gardena are wonderful. Fantastically creative and sophisticated job ladies👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Same here! I was just about to write something similar. I'm currently staying in a house that has a very high window in the shower and a skylight so sometimes at night I can see the moon when I shower, but the way these interior designers did this one with the round window and the brick takes it to a whole different level. It's so beautiful!
It is a captivating property with this wonderful view of the island in the kitchen which in turn allows the whoever's is cooking behind the kitchen to enjoy the view into the yard. It creates a peaceful ambiance. There are a number of lovely features in the home from the sliding doors which opens the home to the outdoor garden to the outdoor shower. The home really allows its owner to enjoy the rich garden that exists around the home. Quite lovely.
Although this home snuggles up close to its neighbors, the new build manages to create the illusion of a private garden oasis. The extension's form with strategically-placed windows and fluted timber sliding doors, and the interior design with its gorgeously rich-colored terrazzo floors, frame the garden superbly. And by the way, an outdoor shower under a full moon sounds like a dream!
Fantastic. The variety in this house is so vast, between all the colors and textures.. definitely not something I would've chosen and not quite __my__ style. But I have to say, the designers made it so complimentary. It feels so playful, yet composed and fluid. So wonderful.
The extension to the house pays its dues to the phenomenal garden in the back. Well executed! And, while I prefer more modern designs, I like how this is a blend of the modern and the old with the marble floors and masonry and wooden screens.
The house dark and new colour contrasts, the tiles, terrazzo and the expanse of the beautiful garden feels like texts from a literature classic book jump out and becomes alive.
oh la la I'm speech less, amazing work ! it's one of my best project of the channel ! the light, the materials the colors... and please the garden wouah !
Loved the Jacarandas! When do they bloom in Sidney? Here in Lisbon, it happens in May/ June and the city is flooded with those beautiful purple colours.
I have seen so many good projects in this channel, although the garden view is absolute magnificent, but the interior is so off. Overall it seems outdoor of house is main feature of this house. 👍
Beautiful property and video, but damn! The constant classical music in the background is so loud I can't concentrate on what they're saying, nor the shots of the place. :( I wouldn't have minded a quiet video... Really gets your attention on the small details
*Feedback - 1st half of the video the left channel audio had the background music overwhelming the narrative. I could only focus on the narrative when listening to the right channel audio only, until about halfway through, then it seemed to be corrected. Amazing property, it looks so serene.
Beautiful home, but was this filmed with a different video crew from the other videos? The quality of the lighting and sophistication of the camera movement is not up to the standards of your previous work. It's not bad at all, just not the sublime perfection you normally achieve.
The interior color palette seems inconsistent, and I find that inconsistency very displeasing --- alienating and unintegrated. On the one hand you have these very warm-colored woods --- nearly orange-colored brown stains. You have a bedroom with a warm olive paint on the walls. Yet then you have these cold-toned white, black, and cold green marble floors. I'm not getting it.
These videos have one theme, old federation house with massive, ugly, flat roofed extension on the back that too often dwarfs the original house and swamps the garden. All this extending onto a high % of the block has totally changed these suburbs.
4:01...Just TOO much. Aged brick, terrazzo, plaster walls and that ghastly 'marble' kitchen counter. Each element is fine, in itself, I guess, but to bring them together in a small area. Ughh! I surprised you didn't install a copper vent above the stove. That would've been the crowning achievement. As for the structure......pimple butt ugly concrete block dropped from space. Otherwise, loved the garden....but it was there originally, right?
‘Interior architects’ lol, that’s a stretch… However, the house looks mint. I’d live there as long as there weren’t any drunk abo neighbours next door.

is there a website where you list all of the songs featured in your videos?
I live in a very harsh place Siberia and in our climate and your videos are like a window to another world for me))) Спасибо!!
what a beautiful comment

I've actually always thought of architects as very feminine, maybe because my mom is a graphic designer. Buy its just fun how we see jobs differently

This production is beyond incredible, not to mention the project itself. The music choice in particular is so romantic!
I agree Kyle...Enchanting

Every architectural object in each video is a piece of art, thank you for opportunity to discover such a beautiful architecture.
Our pleasure!
One of my favorite of this series. A Human lives there.
What a wonderful collaboration. It’s like living inside a painting ❤
Stunning home. Congratulations to the architect, interior designers and the owners on creating such a beauty
We agree!
The garden, the view of the garden from the kitchen is why I'm here, absolutely beautiful! ♥
Magic! Absolutely nailed it

Amazing video! Besides the dreamy project!
Exceptional design and function! Lalala LOVE this! That garden is to die for.
Gorgeous, beautiful, perfection.
Love the North Shore, and this is a brilliant addition to it :)
The extension works so well with the house
Glad you like it!
Cozy and beautiful!

Fantastic interior design. You truly get the sense of being in the garden while sitting inside. At least on camera 🙂
The house dark and new colour contrasts, the tiles, terrazzo and the expanse of the beautiful garden feels like texts from a literature classic book jump out and becomes alive.
Beautifully done. Thank you for sharing this amazing space.
Our pleasure!
Props to @The Local Project for allowing us to dive head first into sublime architectural marvels 👏🏾👏🏾 elite content 🔥
Though these houses are beautiful, I also wish to see houses that can be able to withstand today's fluctuating weather.
oh la la I'm speech less, amazing work ! it's one of my best project of the channel !

The house almost looks like it’s situated in Venice/Italy, love the concept!
A job well done.
Just a dream house!!
Looks beautiful, gorgeous actually
Que importante es la naturaleza cuando hablamos de espacios, le dan vida, tranquilidad y hermosos colores
Perfect as usual
Stunning!
Sublime
Stunning - I get lost in all of your videos - beautiful work!
STUNNING Home!!
Audaciously beautiful!!! ❤
La hermosa puerta corredera me ha fascinado y la mezcla de materiales que curiosamente dan paz
so so beautiful xx
Literally studying Landscape Architecture next year so I can be involved in projects like these
The extension of the home has my interest.
Beautiful work Polly!!
You guys are always killing it. I'm such a fan! Thanks fro sharing.
Congratulations! Beautiful work in every detail!
Absoltely beautiful! Congrats on this one. I would have liked to see the rest of the house, too. And I liked the background music as well. Well done!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very interesting solutions, thanks
Superb 👌
If I had seen this on instagram I would've thought it was Ai, haha. It's too good.
I come here alot for the music...so delicious with the videos
Stunning 😍
Loved the Jacarandas! When do they bloom in Sidney? Here in Lisbon, it happens in May/ June and the city is flooded with those beautiful purple colours.
In upside down Australia we typically get the equivalent pre-summer bloom in around November/December!

lovely😍😍
Sublime.

Big circle window in outdoor shower💖👏
Anybody knows what those GORGEOUS purple blooming trees in the corner of the property are???
I have seen so many good projects in this channel, although the garden view is absolute magnificent, but the interior is so off. Overall it seems outdoor of house is main feature of this house. 👍
Why not demolish the old house and build a whole new one for continuity in design? Was extending it cheaper?
Beautiful work on the extension.
what song is this ? so beautiful!
perfect

👍👍
Back ground music is too loud. But video is great.
Love this quirky and incoherent mess
I envy places with no mosquitoes so much god damn
Love the project, but the music was way too loud in the first section especially to be able to hear the narration, sadly.
not me just watching this house on archipro yesterday and not being happy with what the content they shot for this house
The video is slightly on the dark side. The montage is rather scattered.
This video seemed a bit rushed. I wish I could see more of this home; it was absolutely beautiful.
Anyone know what the music is during the introduction?
what soundtrack is used in the video? i do not see it listed in the description. thanks!!
ID on the red book at 1:44 anyone?
Mao's "Little Red Book" (super sized for fat 21st century 'little emperor's')

The music in this video makes it very difficult to watch…
the level of volume of the music is so irritating. i was trying so hard to focus on what they were saying but the music wants to steal the spotlight.
😃😃😃

I'm with you. It's a small club.... but exclusive!
Yet, somehow it looks lifeless but just architecture.
5:15 fake moon?

that moon looks a little copy-and-pasted? love the video tho

hate the steps from kitchen to dining room.
money money money
Someone please send a 'great job' to whoever is responsible for the music choices (despite the volume)
Hearing all this Australian talk makes me want to chomp down on a blooming onion and crack open a Fosters!!
I'm not Australian but I don't think even they drink that swill. It's a meme for Americans.
First
Great architecture, not so great interior. Feels like it's screaming for attention rather than complementing the garden
The music is too loud
There is nothing special. Sorry! But I didn’t enjoy or see anything special with this work
The music is very loud
The music ruins this video.
