717 here. I'd rather get charged for murder in any other county than go to 501 mall road. Dauphin county does not play games. They will beat and starve you if you annoy the guards once. They brought in a drunk guy that kept banging on the door. Had him swelled up like a grape then "lost his paperwork" and starved him for 9 months while he healed. The kid jail is worse. Watched my buddy go in to shaffner at 275lbs and come out at 120lbs 6 months later. They didn't even let him smell a crouton in there.
