I love how as the waves progress the robotic sounding synths and instrumentals sound as if they’re competing against the more human traditional instruments, both growing in size and noise as the waves progress. Ending on the victorious, familiar sounding instrumentals that we know and love. The first wave starts with no traditional instruments to show how at the start, you don’t know if you’re team will even be able to pull through, but as the first wave ends and you get that feeling of hope that “Yeah, maybe I didn’t waste money on this Mann up token” that’s when the more human instrumentals kick in to represent that hope, that spirit. And that spirit only grows as the waves progress, only to be truly put to the test during the dreaded tank wave, because that’s when MvM teams make or break.
