Cut a jig to hold your pieces at 45° then anything past that will be added on. Can't go more than 45°? Hold your piece up against your jig that already has it at 45° then when you move the miter saw to 5° it will be 50°. Words don't do it justice but there is a video on youtube that will show how to do this.
Aren’t you cutting at x degrees FROM the normal? Depends on what you consider 0

This is wrong. A 15 degree miter cut is not measured from the fence. The 75 degree measurement from the fence is not the miter measurement.

I doing your snowflakes an need 50 degree diamonds but miter saw on does 45 what can I do HELP
Might need a new miter saw. Sliding miter saws usually extend 10-15 degrees more than 45
