Thank you for all the information you provide in these videos in relation to model specifics, generation, related models, etc. I used to know a lot of these things but as life happens, my brain needs to make space for other things.
Mission accomplished! Glad we’re able help people learn a little more about Porsche in each of our videos. Also, Porsche has so many model variants that it’s really tough for anybody to keep track of them all.
I would have thought it was common knowledge that the pops and bangs only occur in Sport mode. Not in normal, individual or Sport plus, irrespective of the sports exhaust setting.
I think the Targa 4S is like a Swiss Army knife. You can carve backroads, you can take it on trips and you can use it all year around. Unlike the coupe GTS, the Targa 4 GTS doesn’t come with PASM Sport…it’s not even an option. I personally think I hit the jackpot with my spec. It has all the standard features of a Turbo S (PDCC, Rear Axle Steering, Burmeister sound, ACC), the engine of a GTS (OEM 3.0 S Power Kit) and all in the body of a 4S. Add a mild tune and SOUL Sport catalytic converters and you have the perfect 911! In my humble opinion of course :-)
They are nice but they don't drive nearly as good as the 991.2 C2S coupe. It feels heavy on the turns and a lot of the Targa has roof issues that can cost you up to $15K to replace or repair. Just make sure you do you due diligence if you are looking for one.
That's a great spec. I love the look but the targa feature does nothing for me. I don't think I've ever seen a 991 targa in Colorado. Very rare indeed.
Take issue with your 8.5 Road Trip score: How can you safely go in a road trip, Denver to Kansas City for example, without a spare tire. Get a flat in Hays KS for example, and your are screwed, waiting for several days for a tire to arrive. The 911s of recent years are made for around town driving (near a Porsche dealer's repair shop) or on the track.
What modern sports car has a spare? My previous car (a 335i from 2008) didn't have a spare lol. Bring fix a flat, or call a tow. Who is about to run a spare on a 911 on a road trip of all things? This is a stupid comment

I would not say it’s common knowledge. Your comment taught me something. Thanks for sharing.
Great car Linda
Targa's seem to hold their value very very well. Every generation targa commands a large premium (usually 5 digits) over the equivalent carrera
Love it. My favourite 911.
Count me in on preference for 991.2.
Got a 2019 991.2 4 (Carerra) gts and have no intention of getting rid of it, or changing.
I wanted a 991.1 but finding one with a manual trans is basically impossible. I’m getting a Spyder instead
Are you near Chicago there’s always atleast two or three .1s manuals for sale but they do go fast
I see there are 3-4 991.1 manuals out there!!
Not many in the wild here in Wi.

We agree!
Someone said to me all GTS have center lock wheels. I said no they do not glad to see I was correct.
That was a true statement until the 991.... all 997 GTS cars were center locks.
@@jimgraves665You could’ve optioned the center locks out, like my 997.2 Carerra GTS.

Is that rear spoiler oem?
Yes, Part of the optional "Sport Design Package"

Snow? Colder weather? Makes sense...
Spec is a major miss, especially the fake leather. But it drives better than it looks
Espresso leather interior is like Coco on caffeine.
Lol!!
