Dude, I LOVE this video! I had no idea why the live feed wasn't working on my Canon EOS 2000D. Turned off the WiFi like you suggested, turned the camera off and on again, the output worked straight away. Thank you!
Yep. Also got caught out. Was trying to use a wireless video stream with a Mars 300 Pro. Searched all over Hollyland and Canon’s 760D manuals, their websites, their faqs, and nothing. Two days of searching for a solution and then found your video by pure accident and it fixed the issue. Can’t believe Hollyland and Canon do not post this resolution as sure many of us struggling with this same issue. Anyway, now subscribed to your sight. Thank you so so much. Anthony
Great, but the problem is this; why the screen of camera is not showing? Suppose that you are streaming without seeing the screen 😮😮😮 the camera may shut down without knowing
@@kwiringiratv my Canon camera automatically shuts down about every 25 mins!! It’s a Canon with a clean hdmi out, which is great but…..as a result of it shutting down every 25 mins or so it’s useless for longer streams or meetings! Apparently it’s a Canon issue….even though they advertise that the camera can do be used to stream via hdmi. No mention of 25min preconditions!! Unless I can find a solution to this very quickly, all my canon gear will soon be replaced and no further canon gear will be purchased.
God bless you sir I've been trying to get this issue solved for over a year... I followed your procedures and I finally got an answer to it right now...
Turn the Wifi off - and it worked .... been two days trying to figure this out.... turned on the wifi for a file transfer feature that I never ended up using .... thanks
Thank you. This is very helpful. I wanted to do some instructional videos. I wanted to be able to view on a small TV to make sure that what I was filming I could view while filming. Thank you. This definitely helps. I have an older Nikon D90. I am pretty sure that it will work. HOPING!! Thanks.
WOOOOW THANKS! you are the first video i watched and i dont need to watch any more lol. I am going to buy a small tv to do this!! oh and thanks for doing this tutorial with one of the rebels! very realistic
Is there a way to live view on your on-camera LCD AND the external monitor at the same time while recording video? For example, if you wanted to send to a director's monitor, while still operating the camera.
I have a Canon 80D and I want to use it to take live videos, I connect the HDMI output to the capturer and from the capturer to the cell phone and only the video comes out, but the audio does not come out. As I do. -Does AUDIO come out via HDMI from the Canon 80D live? -When playing recorded videos if the audio is present. Thank you
I have the same issue, thou, I even tried using oTG to use my phone as a monitor for the camcorder, it displayed on my phone, but the camcorder sends black screen with pc cam on my laptop
Hi! I tried to do this with a Canon G16. It works for displaying pictures and videos, but not for watching what I'm recording. When I activate camera mode, the tv turns off (even if the screen display of the camera is off). Do you know what could I do?
I have connected my 6D MK ii to my TV and it works, but it doesn't show my preview images on TV, even when after I enter inside my dslr's gallery. Any ideea what should be the issue? 🤔
I am using canon 700D and I tried factory reseting my DSLR to connect the mini HDMI adapter to my HDMI cable and then connect to my computer monitor that is not connected to a CPU. It still shows no signal. Advice?
I have a Fujifilm Xs1 and I'm doing the same thing. But it is only showing the pictures I took on the camera and not what I'm seeing live on the camera's LCD. I've done the factory reset too, and it is still not working.
How do I know which cameras have an option to connect them to a monitor/TV directly? I have a Canon PowerShot sx240 hs, it has the mini HDMI port, but I can only view photos and the menu screen on it. Not the actual live view.
Hello friend: I need Canon 80D to be able to output audio and video via HDMI to a tv.- The problem is that it only comes out video without audio. A video recorded on the SD card if HDMI can be played and it works perfect, but live there is only video.- Wifi is disabled. Any suggestion or solution. Thanks
Hey Great video... My Canon DSLR doesn't have a microphone jack so is it possible to record audio externally like using hdmi to micro usb to connect to phone and plug in mic onto phone's 3.5mm jack and record audio?.. Please test it out ☺
Great video. Many thanks!!! You've saved me a lot of money :) Amazing quality video. I was flabbergasted when I saw in the reflection you were using a phone. What model were you using.
Thanks. On my 60D Canon, it works, then it doesn't - cuts out horribly and unpredictably. (And not, it's not the cable - it's firmly secured). Will probably just use the A/V out, and yea. Thanks for the good tips, esp. about re-set to get it working.
Can you connect it wirelessly? What if you needed to walk around but wanted to show a live feed on the tv for instance if you’re at a party and you want to show some of the guest on the tv screen. Is there a wireless connection that would do that?
i have a canon ixus 265 hs if you could respond to this soon it would be appreciated whenever i connect my camera to my tv through hdmi it does show the pictures and videos i taken through the gallery but doesnt show my videos that im recording will my camera support cam link or any other similar thing?
Can we cannect camera and laptop with hdmi cable for live streaming ? Do we need any software support after hdmi connection between camera and laptop ?
How do you make the monitor image full screen? I'm trying to connect a 5" monitor to my Canon 70D, but the image is only a 3" square in the center of the monitor screen.. I see no input settings on the monitor, or output settings on the camera that would correct this.. If I can only get a 3" image on the monitor, and not a full screen image, then the monitor is pointless, since there is already a 3" LCD screen on the camera. Thanks!
Ok I have a canon power shot WiFi enable 1080 x 720 camera. I tryed everything! I can’t get it to show on hdmi. When I playback footage it will show that over hdmi but when i try to record or shoot video it will only show over my camera

Hi, thank you for the video - just what I needed. I got a question: I set the HDMI output in the camera to HD (1920x1080), however I always get a black frame (top/bottom and left/right) around the image - like black bars to fill the space - I see on your TV, it shows as a full frame HDMI output. Is there a setting that I haven't found yet? -Thanks, Stephan

If your monitor is a different aspect ratio to 16:9 (which is what 1080p is) then it might add black bars
