🛩 First flying lesson #11

First lessons are always about getting comfortable with the aircraft by learning the fundamentals. That lays the foundation for the rest of training. This flight was dedicated to diverting to Pontoise in the event of an issue during the first solo flight. Before being authorized to perform the first solo, the student pilot must be able to divert to the nearest airfield (Pontoise in our case) and able to join the airfield in the event that he could no longer land at Les Mureaux.
Program: Take-off runway 10 at Les Mureaux, picking up the clearance with the approach and the tower, joining the standard pattern, landing on runway 05, environmental recognition of the LFPT pattern and engine failure simulation after the rotation.
Aircraft: Piper PA28 Cherokee equipped with a Lycoming 0.360 flat 4-cylinder engine of 180 hp.
Places: LFXU (Les Mureaux), LFPT (Pontoise)
