No problem! I made this video because of a lack of information on the web. However, the Fox Valley Kart KT100 videos were a tremendous help. If you have any advice, please let me know!

Thanks for the vid. was wondering if you had any idea on the range of good engine compression on the KT100. Cheers.

@aralsea91 Hello, if I recall, compression should be around 160psi. It's been awhile since I've worked on my Kt100 though 😂

@catalinnicolaevici2061Hello, it's been a while since I messed with a KT100. It's possible to run a dirt bike-style carb like a Nibbi, but I'm not sure how well it would run or what kind of tuning it would need. I recommend staying with OEM or close to it, so a Walbro WB carb (My KT100 ran a Walbro WB-3A). I hope this helps, and good luck!

@Cristian Knight Thank you for being a new sub! I get my parts at Out2Win.com and Comet Kart Sales. They provide quality parts at great prices, with good customer service. Hope this helps, and you can message @dphobbies on Instagram for more info :)

Jet here's my 2 cents worth about the Tomar clutch. One of the best out there. The 3 holes are made to put the puller into in order to pop off the clutch not the 3 screw holes. The bushing when replacing it is about 10th to 20th wider than the drum and will need to be ground down or machined off flush. There are 2 different spacer diameters'. 1 for like a 10 tooth drum and a wider one for a 11 tooth drum. You can't run the 11 on a 10 tooth drum the chain will cut a groove into it and ruin the chain. You can run a 10 on a 11 tooth drum. As far as oil I use grease not oil. That clutch gets really hot and oil will just dissipate and run dry. When it runs dry the clutch will almost become a direct drive clutch and make a weird noise and you WILL SLOW DOWN. Use a High Temp grease and it always needs to be grease up just before every race. In the video you showed a 3 disk drum that was in bad shape and showed a 2 disk drum to replace it. You can run a 2 disk clutch with a 3 disk drum but not a 3 disk clutch with a 2 disk drum. Good luck with your racing.

Hello @Denny Scott ! Thank you for the advice, I’ve been learning as I go, and posting my results. Thank you for the feedback so that way I can correct myself and others on information on Tomar Dry Clutches for the KT100. I see what you mean for the spacer for the 11T drum, as I noticed really tight binding against the spacer and drum. And for the grease, I used 3-In-1 since I heard that it was similar to Triflow. What kind of grease do you use? Finally, I realized I pulled out the wrong drum, and I now have the proper 3 disk drum. Once again, thank you for sharing your knowledge with me so that way I can spread the correct info :)
      Best, Jet
