Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on UA-cam, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on UA-cam. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on UA-cam, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.
This is a reaction video used to educate and give my feedback on the song and artists.

That same stage that same night had Van Halen, Motley Crue, Scorpions, Judas Priest, Ozzy Osborne and Joe Walsh.... And TRIUMPH Was by far the BEST!!!!
At this show he plays one of the greatest guitar solos ever recorded
Killer voice and guitar .He always had a positive message in his lyrics and I almost respect him more for that than his musical talents
Rik is very good!
Yes, both Triumph and Rush are from Canada. 🇨🇦 and Rik Emmett and Alex Lifeson the guitarist from Rush are friends. Another Canadian band to check out is April Wine. Roller is a banger! Check out the official music video.
Cheers 🇨🇦
Rick Emmet had three different color jump suits which he hand washed after the gig in the hotel sink. Dry ready for tomorrow. Legends
I was at this concert back in 1983. Scorpions, Van Halen, Motley Crew, Ozzy and Joe Walsh. Triumph dominated that night!!
It was in San Bernardino California.
It was the US Festival.
Their US Festival Set is one of the great guest spots ever. Rik and the guys were on a mission this day.
I saw this live, I was at the US Festival in 83! I was so high I was passed out during Judas Priest, but was up and awake for Triumph. Was awesome!
Magic Power was their biggest radio hit. It's a similar theme as Spirit of Radio regarding the influence of music on a body and soul.
One of them- there song that got them in the top twenty was 1986’s Somebody’s out there. That song got the most air play of any song back in the 80’s.
I was there that day! They put on one of the best live shows I've ever experienced
The song "Follow your Heart has the drummer singing the lead vocals. It's great!! Awesome band
This will become your favorite now. Specifically this version. It is awesome and his vocals live are just amazing!
Magic Power from US Festival. I saw them in Chicago 2 months prior to this, and it's still a highlight of my concert days.
The bass players face a couple times is priceless. Thats the look you get when you're looking at your own bandmate thinking, holy cow, he really is good
Love Triumph. I would recommend any of their performances at this show, Magic Power, Rock 'N Roll Machine (guitar solo) or When the Lights Go Down.😎
Oh this was a great reaction vid! Yeah, Emmett is just an incredible talent. I’ve been lucky to meet him over 20 times and I have to say he’s also the nicest guy in the world. Check out his solo stuff because there’s a lot of really good music in them. I liked and subscribed.
I believe this song is about one of the members family members fighting cancer🤔✌️ yes they are from Canada as well as rush, another Canadian band you should check out is April Wine and their song " roller" is a good place to start ✌️
Cancer sucks... lost my mom that way. Makes this song even better to know it's about fighting cancer
@@ShawnSalvadori I'm so sorry for your loss 😥 bless you ✌️
Or the song ... I like to rock !!
@@ShawnSalvadori me too critical... it suxz. Bro
Great reaction and thanks for sharing. The next must song for Triumph would once again be at the US Festival in 1983 and it is 'Magic Power'. Those are their big three hits, there are other hits, but those are the three that catapulted them into fame. They literally stole the show at the US festival and it was their debut for most of American listeners. Chris
Watch when the lights go down at this same music festival, it is great. Gil Moore, the drummer sings on that one and he is an amazing vocalist as well.
Been to so many 80s concerts this is one of the best
We just moved to So Cal. in 82'. I just turned 15. The US Festival is where this is from. My brother, sister and their friends we're all 17 or 18. My.parents said no. You can go next year!!! Never happened again. Mt brother and sister talk about that weekend all the time. They tease me, because I wanted to go so bad... lol get the complete DvD of the Festival. It's incredible
This is from 83' Metal Day
Triumph Rocks and is Uplifting an beautiful which is a rare combination
Riff 😊. Magic Power is another great Triumph song.
Triumph has a lot of great songs. And they actually have 2 lead singers. Along with Rik Emmett, drummer Gil Moore sings as well. 2 of my favorites are Rock And Roll Machine, sung by Gil and Just A Game, sung by Rik. Also Magic Power (Rik), Never Surrender (Rik), Young Enough To Cry (Gil)... and many more. Btw, the bassist is Mike Levine. Rush and Triumph, both great 3 piece Canadian bands. Except in Rush, the bass player is the only one who sings, in Triumph the bass player is the only one who doesn't.
Definitely....just a game !!
Oh yes. I don’t think I’ve missed a day in my life without listening to the song, Just a Game and fight the good fight.
First, I love the list, especially "Just a Game," Triumph's most underrated song. Also, in case you didn't know, "Rock and Roll Machine" is a song written by Gil Moore about Rik Emmett. Gil thought Rik was a rock and roll guitar and singing virtuoso, and you'd be a fool to disagree. What an awesome group! I saw them 14 times.
I would suggest give Rock and Roll Machine a listen. Gil Moore, the drummer sings on that one. The bassist is Mike Levine.
Here's the the whole show that was recently livestreamed, celebrating the 40th Anniversary of that show. The band members were actually in the live chat. It was awesome to relieve that show with the band commenting. You should do a whole concert reaction to it!! It was legendary, to say the least.

Besides the songs of Triumph you already reacted to, their best songs are: World of Fantasy, Never Surrender, and Magic Power. Never Surrender is more of a heavier song than the other ones I mentioned.
Love this performance. Great reaction.
You should do more from the US Festival. They never sounded better live than at that show. A World Of Fantasy is a great place to start. Also, Allied Forces is cool because you get to see the drummer Gil Moore show off his vocal skills.
Please do Never Surrender, my all-time fav Triumph!
Best band most people have never heard of. Geddy can't come close to Rik as a singer. Personally, I think Rik might be the best lead singer lead guitarist ever. In this same concert he does a guitar solo where he plays his electric guitar as a classical guitar. BTW the drummer also has a great voice and sings lead on many songs. Check out Never Surrender.
They recorded in the same studio. Mike Levine is the bassist/ Keys
This song gave me some needed encouragement back in the day. My favorite Triumph song.
Please do a reaction to one beautiful song by Alan Parsons Philharmonc Project called Time. Please.
That voice!
Great band
try to find the song " Suitcase Blues " one of my faves of these guys. It a softer song about life on the road, lonely and shitty. Enjoy and cheers. have been a fan since mid 70's.
So right 👍 and I was in my early 20s then.
Keep'em coming !!!
Checkout.... Natures child it came out before all the hit songs but its a FN rocker !!!
I absolutely suggest and truly highly recommend ((Never Surrender from The Never Surrender Album, and also Fight The Good Fight from Allied Forces as well!!!) But, I'm pretty biased, (Because, I'm A Diehard Old Skool True TRIUMPH Fan from way back in the day y'all!!! Btw, I just discovered y'all's channel!! And y'all are cool and awesome and have great taste in Rock and Classic Rock too!! ( I'm also A Huge Big-Time Diehard RUSH fan as well!! And I could so recommend lots of Great, Awesome And Kick-Ass RUSH Classic songs too!!!)
Rik emmett is a far superior vocalist than Geddy Lee.
I hear you. I’m a huge Rush fan and love Geddys voice and Alex’s guitar but Rik is on a different league, which is saying a lot!
Not sure I’d go that far. They are awesome in their own different way.
True story. Take Geddy out of a studio struggles
Agree 100%..no screech in his voice...full. voice!
I was there in San Bernardino at the US Festival in 1983. You think they sound good in this video. You should have been there
Both bands from Toronto.
Rik Emmett he's my friend long time
try "Just A Game " by Triumph
try never surrender from live show in halifax
Better than Rush
Rush and Triumph both Canadian, both insane unique bands, Gil Moore, drummer in Triumph is also an awesome singer in his own right, Triumph kinda came into this US festival quietly, and apparently blew everyone, EVERYONE, all the other huge bands included, blew them away, Mike Levigne the bassist, hilarious you noticed that, i knew his cousins in high school, had no idea how good Triumph was, knew they were good but....., anyway his cousins said they were related to someone in the band, watching the live vids its definitely Levigne, haha
Better than Rush!
He wrote this for his aunt that was very sick
Rik Emmett wrote this song for his aunt, who was dying of cancer. Such a beautiful and inspiring song!! ❤🤘
Would you like to met him
