I have questions. So you make it look easy as you already have artwork to work with. So how much knowledge does one need in terms of being able to create artwork and convert it to a format that the laser can use.
You can use SVG files and people sell packs of them for very little money or you can make them yourself in software like ink scape or illustrator. Text and basic shapes can be made in the laser software and they are easy to do.

This would be great for etching piercing patterns on silver ot copper. Plus give you the ability to engrave jewelry or create textures rather than using texture plates.
Yes it would and I have done just that in the past with other lasers.

Do you mean that green acrylic enclosure that I show in the video that has a small fan on the back because if so it technically does but you need to figure out a way to attach ducting to it or it's just going to push smoke into the room
Great video as always! As a fellow jeweler, how would you rank this one against the xtool F1 for marking sterling silver? Looking for something to mark rings, bracelets, pendants, etc. in this price range.
So if you are just going to use it for marking metals then this one is the hands down winner. It's 10x more powerful compared to the F1 so you can mark things much faster and deeper. There is also a rotary attachment for this now that would be perfect for rings and bracelets.

there own GW software looks suspiciously like EZcad 2. wounder if Lightburn would work?
Oh yeah it's pretty much a direct rip of EZ CAD that being said I don't know exactly how to take the files from it and integrate them into lightburn to test that out or honestly have the time to do so 😅
@@GomeowCreations Ok, FYI... If you ever think you might do so, get the free trial of Lightburn installed on another computer. As LB will need to install new drivers ( it will prompt you in the LB install) that will not work with EZcad or its rip-offs. And Ezcad files will not work on LB. But LB has great design features. So new designs can be created really fast for testing. Thank you for responding to the comments.
