Great fishing! I fished the exact first two spots a couple of years ago. I caught a 20” pig at the first spot by the big tree. Great fishing in downtown Gatlinburg!
Beautiful place... If you can't get a new net then try taking a green sapling and striping the branches off, then form it to the shape of your net frame and use cable ties or even old shoe laces to secure it to your old, existing broken frame, this is a in the field fix that will get you through the day until your net can be replaced...
1000 Congrats buddy I never had a doubt that you would make it. 2000 will be here before you know it. The rivers were really loaded up in Gatlinburg this time. As always I enjoyed it keep up the good work.
Cool fishing and congrats on the success! I was trying to fish in the East Fork of the Little Pigeon River a couple of weeks ago and didn't see a thing. I think that it was due to the weeks worth rain just before I arrived.
Headed up to Gatlinburg tomorrow! Mainly saltwater fly fish. What are some good patterns you would recommend this time of year? And how should I target big fish? Thanks so much! Earned a sub!!
Thanks for subbing, we got a lot of rain last night. So I’d wait a day or two, let the river come down a bit. When it comes down to a fishable level, I’d probably throw some heavier flies, black stone flies, heavy pheasant tails, ( only because the water is still gonna be high) Use a squirmy, eggs. And jump hole to hole and you’ll find one.
We fish a lot at the bridge by Draft Burgers and also at Welcome center. The next bridge about 2 blocks down from Draft Burgers is good also. Going to Cherokee again near Memorial Day.
Hey man, congrats on 1k Subs! I’m local to the East TN area, and have recently gotten into trout fishing. But don’t know if any spots to find fish at yet. Would you mind sharing some of your spots in the Smokey Mtns. And Gatlinburg area?
Sure, anywhere downtown Gatlinburg is great, they stock every Thursday, so they’re plenty of trout. Greenbrier is a great wild stream. But it’s in the park and you have to use artificial only. And porters creek is a great place for wild trout! Goodluck !!
Give away my spots??? jk lol. The first hole was behind peddlers steak house. And just walk down river from there and you’ll find the other place ;) thanks for watching dude!
I enjoy your videos, even letting the kids touch the fish - sadly that fish will probably die very slowly now with the protective slime coating taken off by those hands.
To be honest, I didn’t notice the first one because the ducks had me distracted, but I think when they were in the net and was spinning around they got the line in their gills. I gave 2 fish away to someone fishing below me at one spot. These fish were also pretty weak, I think the water was way to warm for them. I also just bought a fishpond net! Pretty dang awesome 😎
It's been years since I been up there.probably before you were born. It was the mid 90s. I spent tons our time up there in the early to mid 80s during Middle school.some great memories.I'd love to go back.your videos from there bring out all those old memories so thanks and keep it up. One suggestion.i think people would love a video inside the hatchery. Show the trout in the tanks. Three are some monsters in there.
@@TheTroutGuy1 bro the concrete tanks with the stockers in then are outside. It's just on hatcery property. When I was up there I walked right up to the trunks and looked in without having to ask anyone. No one ever even came out of the building.that was a long time ago but I'm sure they wouldn'tcare.there's nothing stopping you from going onto the puppetry.unless things have changed . I might try to find it on Google earth.

Thanks! We have a new video out tomorrow at 6! My brother and I got on some nice fish!
There’s a crazy amount of huge trout in that river right now.
I’m so proud of you!!!!!! Love the vib and your exciting uplifting attitude.
Thanks!

It’s possible. Before I went downtown, I tried a wild stream and didn’t have any luck. Dang trout can be tricky!

Nice! I’ll have to try those spots, how is Cherokee? Did you do good last time you went?
@@TheTroutGuy1 yes caught 20 in about 2 hours fishing but stayed away from Trophy waters. Was just days after the opener so these were left over trout
@@jerdew nice dude, when I went up I fished the trophy waters and didn’t catch a thing! Do they stock it quite a bit?
@@TheTroutGuy1 not sure about the trophy waters I only fished by the school 1 time and caught 1
That’s a pretty good place! I stood on the bridge and looked into the water and saw 20inch rainbows down below. They wouldn’t bite anything lol

Thanks!
Just spent 10 days there.
Did you fish?!
I might hit up Gatlinburg next week if you wanna meet up
What day? I have a guided trip on Monday.
Won't probably until Saturday coming from Cookeville
I may be able to. I’ll let you know! Thanks for the sub!
💯❤️💯❤️💯❤️💯
Bigfoot in the house lol
Maybe you should give away your broken net signed to the 1000th subscriber and get a New one! Just Curious why were most Fish Bleeding?

The question was this inside or outside of the park
Outside the park!
Glad you made it! How's life on the other side of 1k?
Same ole same ole lol. Trying to get monetized, I need about 800 more watch hours!
@@TheTroutGuy1 That can go pretty quickly. Especially with 1000 subs. Best of luck!

Dude you crack me up. When you gonna hit tellico again?
Bro, I want to go tomorrow! It’s either the Tellico or I buy a cheap kayak and float down the clinch lol
