I was having a conversation with a Democrat who freely admitted that left side of the Dem party controlled the state, but just couldn't understand some news articles from Baker and Umatilla counties where citizens didn't feel that their views were represented well in the Legislature. STILL didn't get it when I pointed out that the last time that a Democrat carried the presidential vote in either county was Johnson in 1964. Both are pretty much representative of most counties East of the the Cascades...at least 3/4 of the geographical state.

I remember her state of the state address in maybe 2005-2006 not sure. She starts the address by saying " You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" I remember cringing and say oh god help us all. She led this state into one of the worse economic periods of my 60 years of living in this state.

I liked when Whitmer shutdown the state for COVID but then opened up the county where she own a summer cottage. Or when she took her family on a private jet down to Florida while she expected Michiganders to stay locked up in their homes.

When she was Michigan's governor, she approved BP oils Whiting, Indiana refinery to dump over 1500 lbs of ammonia and over 4900 lbs of sludge daily into Lake Michigan. She also trucked trash from her home country of Canada to Michigan dumps. She didn't care about the environment then, guaranteed she doesn't care now

Let’s get real. Produce our own coal, oil, and natural gas and start developing nuclear. Let wind, solar and other sources of energy compete on the free market. When and if they can, they will be great. But, it’s not fair or cost effective to steal tax dollars to favor one over another.
Speaking of our natural resources, release all excess federal lands to the states. The Constitution limits the amount of land that can be controlled by the Federal Government.

I spoke with a federal EPA worker. I asked what it would take to start a new steel mill. He laughed hysterically. Then told me 10 years for the initial permit process but they had no intention of approving ANY new steel mills. Then he was kind enough to point out that it was not just the EPA. Maybe 10 or 15 other Federal agencies would turn a thumb down. Then state and locals. Then years of law suits.
They have a plan alright, its just not in the working classes or countries best interest...
