Used a press for most of the bearings. Only thing that did not was the inner race for the 5th gear needle bearing, that was done using a series of washers. If you are talking about the last end bearing on the output shaft, I just don't recall, may have used a press and supported the output shaft before installing the input shaft.
you are right I went back and looked at pt 12 shows the input shaft on and the last output shaft still missing that last bearing. I just don't recall. Perhaps it was not a tight press fit, there are C clips on either side, so maybe it was a loose press fit. I would prob just heat it in the oven to about 200f and see if it would not slide on.
