This guy's been around 5 minutes and he already seems to understand the game better than Jeff in his 25 years
I LOVE the fact that he mentioned how they teach the contestants how to play before the game starts. Giving them advice/best practices beforehand makes for a more competitive game and gets the players thinking.
Not sure if I want this kind of producer interference though.
Interference? Watch Some of the other earlier seasons were, as he said, they put them out on the island and let them figure it out.And I think we would all be begging for him to give them tips

@lagofala it's just an encouraging pep-talk pre game he's not telling them what to do constantly.

@@elainesarnecky182 You’re probably counting the 2002 and 2005 seasons that were on a different network, we usually don’t count them as Season 1 & 2 although some illegal streaming services do

Since no one says it, I will say it: David is a SNACK! It was hard to concentrate during the interview but it was worth it. I loved his POV and approach. We need more of this input in the US version.

Great interview, like has been said Ch10 hit gold with David as Survivor show runner. The one thing that came to me at the end of the interview is that a year ago everyone was asking when will Australian Survivor do a AUvUS season, but now especially with how 46 started and how good TvR was, no one is asking for it anymore
I love this interview so much. Listened on a road trip with a friend I also converted to AU. I said, "shannon loves final 2 like me and i fully expect her to mention that" lol. Did not disappoint one bit. I loved the questions about twists and format. This guy already has a better understanding of good survivor than Jeff. He provided great insight to great questions. I enjoyed the 8 weeks 3 episode format this last season and I love how you mentioned the non elims being pre merge and him saying that is intentional. I was yelling YES so much to so many things that just made me happy to hear.
This was a great interview. So interesting. Great ambassador for production respect for the game. Also appreciated his appreciation of Shannon and the fan community. Would love to hear his teaching methods... would be fascinating for us super fans to hear what he emphasizes. David is a delight.
David is so good at speaking. Maybe they should cast him for Survivor.

Paramount+ is ridiculous for not showing the global Survivors & making us fans reach out to view them. It’s obvious we are & they are not benefiting from it.

Get rid of those borinig immuity challenges where they pretty much stand still, which for this season was practically every one after merge. Not exciting to watch at all.
This man deserves so much credit and a huge shoutout from the audience, making the best survivor 🫡
