I think I have seen this awful door somewhere when I was young, and thought it just the sake of time so that the makers make the doors close faster
but it was just a defective door which happens not to break the elevator

WestCoast Elevators I think you'd probably figured out I already tried that. Boy, it wanted to move, it went up about an inch and stopped and came back fm down when it realized the putter door was still open!

@OM G It depends what lift/elevator it is, like kone for example, just reconnect the door into the interlocks and it should run like normal again.

I was in a elevator and there door was worse like I slammed and that door went back open because the Force of it and that was in. Hospital idk if it is the same now but dam it was bad
