3 Days in The Dolomites

Instead of hiking the whole Alta Via 2, I decided to first do a 3 day 'sampler' of it by doing Stages 4 (partly), 5 & 6.
Though I've previously done a bit of dayhiking in the Dolomites, this was the 1st time I've had the pleasure of staying in Italian Rifugios.
I enjoyed the up-close encounter with Marmots and seeing some wild Chamois in the distance, but when I revisit the Dolomites I'd like to go to an area (with less people), eg. in the Friuli Dolomites Natural Park, where it's possible to also experience the Ibex.

Spectacular scenery! Surprised how busy the trails were. I did some bicycle touring in the Dolomiti when I was younger. One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. Your video definitely captures that 👏🏼👏🏼. Cheers!

Though originally planned for Sep to avoid local holiday crowds, I ended up going there in Aug, thus more people - and some queuing at one of the 'aided passages' (steel wire, but not really fullfledged Via Ferrata).
While still so very beautiful any time of the year, whenever I go back, it'll be in another month than Aug.
