    ►kalanchoe Daigremontiana is a succulent plant. Also known as
    Bryophyllum daigremontianum, commonly called devil’s backbone, mother of thousands, alligator plant, or Mexican hat plant.
    ►Working:
    First of all, succulent plants need well-drained soil because succulents have much water in their leaves and stems. So use always well-drained and sandy soil to grow succulents. Succulents no need too much water. If you over-watered then plants will rot.
    So water them when soil totally dry.
    ►3 Steps:
    1. Pluck some seeds from the edges of leaves. Sprinkle all the seeds on the top of the soil. Spray some water. Place in a shady area for better growth.
    2. Cut some off-sets. Remove all leaves of the lower part. Put these off-sets into the soil. Water it and place in a shady area for almost one week.
    3. Select a healthy branch and cut almost 4-5 inches. Remove all leaves of the lower part. Put this cutting into the soil. Water it and place in a shady area for almost one week.

    Thank you very much!
    You know, with all due respect to most UA-cam folks, they show off their knowledge and beautiful gardens but they drone on and finally give meager instruction on the seeds from leaves.
    I recieved a free cutting of this succulent with a plant order and in this short video, you've shown me THREE ways of planting it!
    Again: Thank you!😀👍

    This video deserves more likes and views. Most videos I see are from noobs. They just know how to grow from "seeds." As if we still need video instructions for that! Too many "experts."

    this plant will basically never die, but in a lot of cases cuttings do better if they dry out for days or even weeks before they are planted and watered (best to propagate at beginning of spring)

    I used to have ones but my brother's dog damaged them.
    Yes, there are a lot of ways to propagande this plant , either from leaves babies or by cutting a part from the plant.

    I have one that has gotten pretty tall but the stalk is thin so I keep a wood dowel with it to hold it up. Am I supposed to cut it or just let it keep going up? Any tips for growing so it can support itself?

    • @readyplants7099
      @readyplants7099  4 місяці тому

      This is due to lack of light, keep it in direct sunlight for healthy growth, if you want to grow more plants, cut it as you like and grow separately. When the new plant grows in direct sunlight, the plant will grow its thick stalk.

    • @readyplants7099

      You can water it when the soil becomes dry. Moisture will boost the rooting process but do not over-water.

      In Italy, the Kalanchoe daigremontiana is considered only an ornamental plant, but in some tropical countries and recently also in Spain, thanks to the work of the botanist Josep Pàmies, this plant is primarily used as a medical remedy for the treatment of numerous diseases, such as burns, infections, ulcers, diarrhea, hypertension, diabetes and even cancer.

      @readyplants7099  4 роки тому

      @@Itz_Sehar First of all, check your plant's roots. Are roots growing well? If roots are good then check your stem's lower part if it dries? Sometimes dryness of stem's lower part stops the plant growth.
