I have never seen plantlets form while the leaves are attached to the plant on Kalanchoe pinnata. Maybe if the plant is stressed they will form, but definitely not common like other species in the Kalanchoe genus. E.g., our Kalanchoe daigremontiana is constantly pooping bulbils all over the place.

Hi. Nice work there. If I may ask, how long did it take for the stem to start growing roots?
    Thank you for posting

Thanks for watching. I really appreciate it. I takes about two weeks for the babies to start presenting, taking variables into account, such as weather, growing them inside/outside and time of year.. Perhaps a little faster in the warm spring time of the year. It is a fun project and a great way to multiply your plants.

Love this! ❤ when you opted for the bin method are there holes in the bottom of the container to drain soil? And I’m in TX would you keep it indoor or outdoor ?

Yes, there are plenty of drainage holes. I would keep them outdoors in indirect shade where it is humid. If you get to cold in the winter, you might bring them in. Happy gardenin.

@@ConcerningGardens1821 oh ok. I didn’t put any drainage holes. I’m keeping them outside in the shade. Did you mix the soil with anything? Mine are drying :(

@@KarlaRimolo-pt6ld You definitely will need drainage holes. Since these are succulents, they like moisture, but can get root rot if the soil does not drain enough. I did not mix anything with the soil, it is just a general all purpose potting mix. Good luck.

People get ot mixed up with mother of thousands

I agree. It seems the label of mother of thousands is applied to numerous plants and it is easy to confuse the plants.
