Thank you Father. I’ve experienced this spiritual sloth, this weariness many times. The worst was several years ago when I would become sleepy, would yawn repeatedly, then I would hiccup, then burp at the same time. Then my jaw would get stiff, and finally I could barely pronounce the words with my lips and tongue. I told a priest and he confirmed that it was an attack. The solution was to warn the devil to leave and if he didn’t, to repeat the prayer Blessed be Jesus and Mary and Joseph as many times as needed. It worked.
