Good Place is the last track of this album. I Love Me was a stand-alone single, so was Ok Not To Be Ok. I’m Ready was a Sam Smith’s single from their album. That’s why the vibe from those songs is totally different. This album has a dreamy, folk-sy, country-ish, glossy and fresh pop sound to it, that’s why I love it so much

every song on the album has a story behind it.
Anyone was written 4 days before the OD & she promised herself that if she ever survived, she’ll release the raw, demo version and that’s what you heard. raw vocals.
ICU was about how she lost sight & she felt so sad how she couldn’t see her little sister aka Madison in the ICU so it has a double meaning.
Dancing With The Devil was about the night she OD’ed.
The Way You Don’t Look At Me is about how she’s always so paranoid about her weight & how she’s always scared of lovers leaving her for that.
Watermelon Cake is about how her management controlled her food & had watermelon cakes only for her birthday for years.
Met Him Last Night was written by Ari cause she liked the concept of how meeting the devil is always tempting but could lead you to your end.
Kind Of Lover I Am is about how sexuality is fluid.
Easy is about how Demi reminisces about the old, good days back in the day. i ,sometimes, feel like she’s singing to her younger self.
15 Minutes is about an “ex” called Max Ehrich or smth like this and basically, he’s a clout chaser. he always wanted to get famous & tried so hard to get with Selena & others and he even proposed to Demi. once she broke off the engagement, she wrote this song like you got your 15 minutes of fame & now u can f off.
Butterfly, one of my favs ever, is about her biological father Patrick Lovato whom she had kind of a rocky father-daughter relationship. In that song, she ,for the first time, forgives her father for the mistakes he’s done & it breaks her heart how they don’t even know what day he died exactly. he was just found day in his trailer/appart on June. hence, the reason she hates the month of June & how she despises Father’s Day. However, one day, a butterfly came out of nowhere and sat on Demi’s balcony on June & she broke down crying feeling like her Dad came to say “hi!”. i could go on n’ on about it but u get the idea.
finally.. Good Place is the last track which is about ,obv, her being in a good place, at last. ❤️
UGH, how can I pin this!? Looove this run down, and I love how the story progresses through the album. ALSO, love that we got a RAW DEMO with Anyone. I can feel all that emotion.
Yeah, Butterfly is a big grower on me. I have listened to it over the entire weekend and Butterfly is now def in my faves.

Omg, I keep coming back to this album too. I think it is my favourite. I love singing along to everything and those feelings you get on the first listen are still there, no matter how many times you've listened to it on repeat!! YAYA.
I think the collab with Noah on Easy left me speechless, this was my favourite album by Demi but then Holy Fvck, she just doesn’t miss

Pausing mid-watch to say that yes, Carefully is THAT song! I love so much how in under 3 minutes she took us through a crush to essentially an epic love. It's effortlessly, exhilaratingly beautiful.

OK, I'm done, loved your reaction. Love that you consider yourself a Lovatic now. Glad you enjoyed the album... and, glad you're seeing that as enjoyable as "Unbroken" is -- and I do enjoy it -- Demi DEFINITELY has much stronger albums out there. "Unbroken" has amazing songs on it ("Fix A Heart" was my favorite Demi song for the LONGEST time). The thing is that with that one, it was Demi breaking free from Disney and trying to do her own thing for the first time and so it was a mish-mash of sounds. DWTD...TAOSO is kinda that way too, in a way. It was a mish-mash of different albums. Her comeback album after her overdose, dealing with her recovery, her love affair/engagement with Max, oh, and then subsequent break-up with Max and the fall-out with that ("15 minutes"). And the pandemic happened smack dab in the middle of it precipitating, well, the whole Max stuff. Sooooo, the comeback got derailed. "Anyone" and "I Love Me" were originally part of the comeback.
Then, the pandemic happened, Max happened, time passed, focus shifted. A bunch of songs got scratched (and leaked -- and DANG are some super amazing). Bottom-line, is that what happened then is that DWTD...TAOSO wound up being a bit of a slightly hybridized album. So it's not as cohesive as a "Holy Fuck," or the next two albums you're going to listen to which are among her best: "Tell Me You Love Me," and "Confident."
As for this album.... I love it, although, I do think it lacks cohesion jumping through way too many different styles. My favorites are: "Butterfly" (about her father--which I'm sure others have explained), "Carefully," "Dancing with the Devil," "The Art of Starting Over," "Lonely People," and "Melon Cake." But there really isn't any song on this album I don't love.
I'm really surprised this album wasn't bigger than it was. It should have been EVERYWHERE. Although, I do like how it is a really stan/fan album - like it is a special thing shared for us ride-or-dies!
Until Holy Fvck came, this was actually my favorite Demi album 🥹

Demi is such an amazing artist and yet so underrated, it makes me so mad. She deserves better. This album is a gem and basically the fanbase are the only people who knows it exists. Her label did her so dirty with the lack of promotion, they had a f*ing masterpiece on their hands with met him last night ft. ariana grande, and they did nothing with it.

Another single she released after I Love Me that didn’t make it onto the album was Still Have Me and it’s SO GOOD! I wish it made it onto the album. Take a listen when you can!

anyone was her major comeback song she sang at the grammys two years after her overdose and to put it simply, she sounded BETTER live than she did on the record. The emotions that she wore on her sleeve that day was just chefs kiss. I'll never forget it.

This album is one of my favorites by her, it is incredible the way it is (and you should've reacted to Sunset, the real deluxe song of this album cause, as some people have already told you, I Love Me, OK Not To Be OK and I'm Ready were stand-alone singles)

Btw, the international physical edition includes two other songs: "I'm Sorry" and "Change You" which are 2 amazing tracks too! I do love the standard version of the album so much though cause it ends with Good Place.

You see, Rockvato (which what we call Rock Demi) will always be my favorite one. Demi was born for rock, HOWEVER I've opened an exception for this album because it's so damn beautiful. I adore The Art of Starting Over, Lonely People, The Way You Don't Look at me, What Other People Say, Carefully, etc. The album production is top notch

ICU is a song about her sister Madison. when she woke up from coma becoz of OD she had became temporarily blind and when her sister came to visit her in the ICU she can't see her sister.

I love all of demis music, but CONFIDENT is still my favorite album. Unfortunately, it was during the peak of her relapse before her OD but its soooo good
It wasn't. Demi relapsed on the Tell Me You Love Me era, not on the Confident era. She was 5 years sober during Confident and she even completed 6 years sober, she has stated before that she relapsed during the Tell Me You Love Me tour.

It seems like you really enjoy conceptual albums. On a totally different vibe, you should check out Logic, particularly his The Incredible True Story or Everybody albums. They are very diff from his other albums, but they're such cerebral and just GREAT albums.

I just posted it on my new demi video - tell me you love me!!
So basically melon cake is about how her old team used to control everything she ate, every year on her birthday she wasn’t allowed to have real cake, they would put icing on a watermelon instead. In her documentary, she celebrates the first birthday with not one but 2 REAL cakes for the first time in years. The meaning of the song is what made me love it bc tbh the sound isn’t my fav.

To get a vibe of Tell Me You Love Me without cheating and listening to it you could listn to "sunset" the bonus track on the Deluxe Edition of Dancing With The Devil ... Tha Art of Starting Over. In my opinion it doesn't fit the album at all even though it's a great song but it would sound perfect on Tell me you love me
