Argentinian Train to the End of the World

I recently visited Argentina and at Ushuaia there is a 500mm gauge train that was originally built by prisoners in the area. Only 7km of the line still exists and this is a record of my journey on the 12th January 2024. The steam locos are new and were built especially for this tourist line. They run on a sustainable fuel that has low pollution according to the guide that we had. The Railway is also known at Ferrocarril Austral Fueguino.

It was very interesting. The height of the tree stumps indicates when the trees were cut down. The higher ones were cut down in winter when the snow was deep.
