A quintessentially American band; they are absolutely what makes this country great. Why they are not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a mystery to me. As good a band as this nation has ever produced. Absolutely unique.
Super straight-forward song, but the three-guitar approach makes it huge. Los Lobos absolutely crush it on this one. Amazing performance by an amazing band.
Saw them at the Santa Barbara Bowl--my wife and I danced our cabooses off, and so did the rest of the audience, for the whole set. Such joyful--and meaningful---music!
I've been listening to this song on repeat for a couple days. I keep imagining it playing in a movie scene where two characters are driving through the Mojave Desert to LA.
David Hildago is my favorite guitar player. Pharesing is off the charts. Been through his mother's home town Gila Bend, Arizona a few times avoiding Phoenix traffic.
Ha ! Los Lobos is a word in our household....and one we all love to hear I might add. One of the most enduring and talented road shows in history. Gotta love their Sesame Street appearances too ;-)) Aloha from Hawaii, Thomas
My family loved this band, from 'Jenny's Got A Pony', to 'Georgia Slop', and this song. I lost my wife six months ago, and my daughter the day after Thanksgiving of 2019, but hearing these songs will always bring back memories of shared laughter and dancing to the inner joy this band produced with it's music. Now when I hear these songs I get tears and smiles at the same time. Goddamn I miss my family, hurts.😫😩😓
Saw them last year at the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa. Los Lonely Boys opened and put on a better shown than the wolves. Lobos played for 50 minutes and acted like they were in a hurry to leave. VERY disappointed but I still like them.
@@marymyers8706it's pretty uncommon. Guitar shops have very little left handed selections, and live shows require them have a second one on hand in case they break a string. I saw a kid at a.coffee shop break his lefty acoustic guitar, in a panic, he asked everyone if they had a lefty acoustic, and luckily found the only other left handed player at the show to borrow a guitar from.
Too bad we all don't listen to the same music. This song is GREAT! Their cover of La Bamba put them on the map, years ago making "a travesty" a bit harsh. With all the the great bands of all genres out there, how can a person know them all?.
This band, is one of Americas great hidden treasures. Its a travesty that more people don't know of this band.

Agree, gotta be on any list of great American bands. Byrds, Beach Boys, Allman Brothers Band, etc. Right there with them.
why would you insult this awesome band like that? the scummy hall of defame? shame on you for even mentioning it in a post about los lobos.
This is in the top 10 of my all-time favorites!!!
I had no idea this song was this old! It would be a hit if it came out today. Timeless!
1, 2, 3....I've always loved this band and especially this song. I too can listen to it over and over and then play it over and over on the guitar.
It's such a high-energy, wonderful fun song. Can't help but dance whenever I hear it!
Seen this band twice in concert. Truly a wonderful experience. They are great musicians.

I usually prefer David Hidalgo's Tele, but this triple Les Paul attack is awesome indeed!
@@erikliddell I agree, but this song is a brutal Les Paul worthy attack.
This is your Rock AND your ROLL right here, people.
This seems to be a fairly complex song, and they absolutely crush it live. Love this band. Woefully underappreciated.
Not complex, they just fill the universe around them
I actually remember this song from an episode of Mucha Lucha where Los Lobos made a guest appearance. Good times
Same ten+ years later and here I am jamming to this gem
Saw them at the Santa Barbara Bowl--my wife and I danced our cabooses off, and so did the rest of the audience, for the whole set. Such joyful--and meaningful---music!
One of the best live bands ever.
Amen!
Agreed.
All down to earth guys as well.
Never a boring show..Never! I will see them every time they come around...

This band DOES deserve to be a household word.
And yes, far too few are aware of the prowess that is this band!
Love this toon. Never get tired of it.

Absolutely brilliant!! 3 fabulous guitar players, and super cool! Highly underrated! Fun,fun, fun band!

Do NOT pass up the opportunity to catch one of their shows. I've seen them dozens of times, and they never fail to blow the roof off the joint.
Out fkng standing!!!!!!
Just noticed their rhythm guitarist is playing a lefty!
Oops. That's Cesar Rosas who has the left-handed guitar.
