I am extremely proud to finally be able to present to everyone the updated Fractal guides from [KING]! The creation of these have taking a lot of blood, sweat, tears and sleepless nights to fully flesh out every detail! Extremely big thanks goes out to all the people who helped make this possible, by assisting me in writing the actual guides, recording every detail, gather up all our builds and cheering for me to survive the editing process (not a joke...)! With everyone involved, this project would have never been possible. As a side note, this has honestly been a huge dream of mine for a long time to add my own touch to the fractal guides :P so yay!
Very very good job. Never seen a better edited guide for fractals! expecially as a newbie to fractals, i'm really thankful for your great work. Every video i watched so far was really good explained with no questions left. If anyone will ever ask me about fractal guides, i will recommend yours!
For each day of this week I will be uploading the 3 specific daily fractal islands, until the entire list of guides have been published! :D Enjoy your fractalling!
Thank you so much, guys, for this. I've been looking for detailed fracs guides. I hope many people will watch them and it'll become a lot more enjoyable to run in pugs.
First of all, thank you for the awesome series of fractal vids! I was wondering, are the 2 daily recommended fractals worth doing for anything besides gold (and pages if you haven't got them yet)? I've seen a spreadsheet, but it only talks about the T1-T4 dailies, not the 2 recommended.
+Héctor Mestre Glad you liking them :) As for the recommended fractal levels, they are mainly an added source of fractal encryptions, extra agony infusions (chance for higher infusions than just +1's), and resonating slivers (though these have now died down in price), but most importantly they're a source of pristine fractal relics! These are generally very limited, but if you're a veteran player you may already have enough of them :P Personally I don't find the recommended levels to be worth it after I completed my Ad Infinitum, since they barely provide you with any added gold that you couldn't just as easily get from just focusing on higher levels (or other content). The only reason you'd do these would be for the extra daily pristine fractal relics.
Thank you for the nice content as always! May I ask what is the use for the Bone Minions in the Viper Reaper build? I'm planning on gearing a Reaper for high level fractals and this build will definitely help me a lot. Thanks again!
+BeannaGimmick Minions are a great buffer absorbing any cleave damage that may befall your team mates. Popping the bone minions and re-summoning on cooldown is also similar dps to poison gas cloud if you don't require the projectile mitigation. Given the change to deathly chill; suffer is likely your best offensive option.
+Neox You're right, if you simply buy it off the tp it's about a 13g difference. I guess my reasoning relied on the simplicity of just have +10's and a +12 as well :P
good day sir. i have a question. as a gw2 player from the 3day headstart (with breaks from over a year and stuff. i am picking the game back up atm. and as a mesmer player who wants to get better at fractals i was wondering if the builds are still up to date and if so what set is the best to start with (want to get all 3 builds complete) tnx for this awesome vid and i hope to see more !
Right, I meant an NA group for players from NA who want to join you guys. Also to spread influence for the guild or something. I say this because I love you guys and I have the same exact playing philosophy. I wanted to join KING a while back but couldn't because we would be forced to move to EU. There are about 6 of us who would instantly jump on the idea.
Both are viable, although the condition necromancer synergises well with minions, and the scepter auto attack removes the boons stolen by the bosses. and that's the main two reasons you would want a necro on the high levels.
Fantastic set of videos, thank you so much for these! I have a question though. In what way do you think classes actually benefit from sticking to power? Take my mesmer - isn't she going to be more effective by using a scepter instead of a sword? I am asking this in light of this series of videos, which highlights just how much more effective condi seems to be in fractals: www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/4lgdd4/bloomhunger_solo_on_all_classes_power_condition/
My reply is based on a Mesmer feedback: There are some encounters where it would be better if you go condition Mesmer such as Mai Trin or Thaumanova or Aetherblade, mainly because a the bosses of these fractals are designed in a way where your condition damage is more preferable than berserker due to the high mobility of the boss or your group itself. Sticking to power Mesmer or commander Mesmer (if there is no revenant) in these cases won't help because rarely will you get the chance to damage the boss or provide quickness to your group. All in all, generally most of the fractals it's better to stay power or commander not because of your personal damage, but rather for the quickness and alacrity that you apply which significantly increases your party DPS. You switch to condition Mesmer when stacking quickness, providing alacrity, and applying damage isn't going to be effective.
Dude, they named a merchant in the Fractal Lobby after you, congrats man that is so friggin awesome

These guides are simply the best. The notes they include put these over the top. Keep up the great work!

TPenny Thanks for the answer!
About the infusions. Isn't 2x 11 and 3x 10 cheaper than 1x 12 and 4x 10? Yours costs one 10AR infusion more.

I set shroud skill 4 to heal. I've saved more than 1 party with those heals.
Are you guys ever going to make an NA faction of KING?
+Peter Bayley Most likely not :/ We're all located in Europe so for us to play on the NA servers we might end up with latency issues.

My question . Why not power necro i mean as reaper class power necro is very capable in dealing damage. Answer will be appreciated
Both are viable, although the condition necromancer synergises well with minions, and the scepter auto attack removes the boons stolen by the bosses. and that's the main two reasons you would want a necro on the high levels.
ahh got it. ty so much for your answer.
I'm sad that Hammer Guardian wasn't mentioned :
Still in the list of recommended build in the description of every video ;)
3* +10
2* +11 is cheaper
Fantastic set of videos, thank you so much for these!
