Oh damn, so the person being targeted by him should just dodge back and rest can just dps without getting dazed! had no idea. this is exactly what i was looking for. Subbed.
New videos for Snowblind and Swamp will also be coming very soon ;D Ps. Most of the builds in the description have been updated to reflect the newest patch, though some builds still need minor tweaking :)
Ideally you would want your party to not stack closely on top of each other, but rather position yourselves in a semi-cirlce. This will make it easier to see which direction the Gladiator points towards :)
I personally wouldn't. You will have atleast 1 other class with reflects. Necro, Guardian, Druid, Ele and maybe even thief. I don't know about deroirs opinion though
The Ventari legend is a tricky beast in so many regards, especially when it comes to its usefulness in PvE, as it demands such a large sacrifice for the sake of "simple", barely effective utility, in most scenarios. Let me try to explain this in detail. The Ventari legend offers up 2 major things for PvE, both of which suffer from huge drawbacks: 1. Immense over-healing (not a joke btw, the healing potential has been over the top from the start). This however comes at the cost of damage, and not just for yourself (putting you at 8-9k DPS); but also for your team, as compared to a ranger that also offer up immense damage modifiers to the party alongside its own potentially useful DPS, and/or ele healers who doesn't have to sacrifice much in terms of their own DPS to sustain decent healing output. When it comes to *healing* in it self, ventari is extremely good at its role, too good actually. But it really doesn't bring anything other than healing. Thus you can only really get away with using it in a raid when your squad is overrepresented by revenants. 2. Utility: deflect, condition removal, CC, all of which (except for the deflect) is something revenants already have excessive access to. So, all we're really bringing to the party with Ventari are the deflects. But to bring this single utility comes with a huge DPS loss. As you'll likely be replacing Ventari for Jalis for any boss encounter. Thus, Ventari only really shines as a situational tool for shorter encounters (i.e. the harpy jumps, the seals in cliffside, etc.) As for the Chaos Anomaly specifically on the master tier level; because of the many additional mobs to the encounter Jalis will always remain top DPS, and will also provide you with a decent heal for possible slip-ups. If you were to replace Jalis with Ventari however, for the last phase, you would either have to camp ventari to be able to reflect at the proper times (effectively also killing off your own DPS), or you would have to be a legend rotation god :P If you are without a mesmer, guardian, ele, etc. to reflect, your party would be much better off spotting the tells of the harpy golems in the encounter, to simply dodge the electric orbs :) *TL;DR*: Ventari is usually not worth bringing along for boss encounters in 5-man content, as it comes at too great a cost in potential DPS. Additional (personal) opinion: for Ventari to ever really shine in PvE, it either needs to bring its own potential damage, or be able to apply offensive buffs to allies. Both of which are highly unlikely scenarios.
fantastic overview here. so using Ventari for those non boss situations (harpy jump, etc) is worth taking but not for bosses where you are locked in. Good to know.
ok somethings not making sense in your explanation. You say to kill chop last so he doesnt respawn then at 75% you say to kill blight first so it doesnt respawn. That makes no sense. Does it rotate like that so last to kill on first round doesnt respanw then next round first to kill doesnt respawn? Not very clear at all to someone new to this which is everyone who would search this kind of video out.
All off-hand weps for rev basically only has utility skills, like movement, pulls, blocks, etc. So as for main hand sword, there's really only AA and precision strike which deals good damage, since Unrelenting assualt just exchanges damage for evade, which isn't needed. Soooo yeah, it's cause it's the most DPS :P
Different for all professions :) Revenants have much more focus on the use of legend swapping and the skill provided with these to deal massive damage. Whereas warriors are mainly focused on their different weapon skills.

Nice video quality, you earned yourself a new sub - keep up the good work !
Great guides and editing. Pleasure to watch!

Quality is, once again, insane. On another note, do you mind sharing the music used in the video? Both tracks are amazing... Thanks in advance!
I really like your guide and the design, good job! :D
After seeing the Hentai Forest I'm not sure if my cute little Asura should ever do this Fractal... this may be a bit too much to take for her(✿ ◕‿◕)
bruh
We use a version of the PvP condi mesmer build on this fractal. Excellent guide.
Awesome video. Very detail-oriented and well explained. Music is too loud though. 9/10.
Will you do guides like this for Raids? That'd be so good.
Raid guides is something we're potentially considering, yes :) But it is a huge undertaking :P
Yeah, i understand. Most of the video guides are out there half assed. Thank you either way.
great guide. please make more of those
Great content, man!
What was the music used in the video? It's quite nice, especially the ones during the Anomaly and Gladiator.
Sorry for being pedantic but you have it written in several videos as "Theif", the correct spelling is "Thief"
Hey Deroir, what music is being played throughout the video?
What music do you use?:0 amaIng guide btw
cool! could you make a revenant pve guide? Im leveling one atm.
but i know nothing about the dps rps rotations.
w8 doesnt the target icon abouve your head appear only when the target goes away then how can you know in a stacked position whos got the aggro

Well deserved 2 blues and 1 green !
if you did not have a mesmer here would you suggest using ventari for the bubble?

That earlier comment said however, keep an eye on the channel in about an hour :P

what's the music at 00:56 ?
Ever find it? I'd like to know to but Deroir doesn't seem to reveal it in the comment sections I've looked through (SO FAR).
In the mists man! :)

Why aren't you using all your sword and axe skills? Pls don't tell me auto attack does the most damage ._.

Deroir So it is differnet form class to class? Do i just have to auto attack and press 2 for my 2h sword warrior?
Different for all professions :) Revenants have much more focus on the use of legend swapping and the skill provided with these to deal massive damage. Whereas warriors are mainly focused on their different weapon skills.
"Hentai Forest"
This is totally the official name now ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Vapescale :D
#Vapenation
So anyone know whats the music called?
