As far as I know, the legendary imbued shaman is an elemental and therefore elemental slaying potion is the right one. This is also confirmed in wiki. Maybe both work?

I'm pretty sure he aggros the person with highest DPS, which is pretty damn annoying for an ele as his autoattacks hurt.
The dmg revs do now seems realy bad for a dps class and you cant even compaire it to mesmer coz mesmers utility and support is way superior :/
